  1. Perhaps wait untill the next LCA you can buy them by the box full.
  2. Feel sorry for him as must have severe mental issues
  3. I notice an 1844 Model penny has been listed on ebay that i suppose could be really a mule as only dated on one side with the lines going horizontal rather than vertical on the reverse. I believe unrecorded and possibly unique ?. Sorry i cant put the link up but price is £1350.00. Just seen this thread so seemed as good a place as any to post
  4. Choice UNC or MS64 .....Should be nice
  5. CALLING PAULUS. I vote you for the moderator Paul regular on here and have all the computer and coin knowledge. Dont worry Paul i dont think you need an interview or CV Think its something you cant refuse and plenty street cred
  6. Glad the seller has been FU%"*D OFF he should of just given you a refund straight away
  7. Craig there are lots listed everyweek just like the fake Kew Gardens.
  8. Its one of those Mike. When its being done "What a ballache"....although in the past i have moved out and just left the keys. When its finished "Glad we did it" Problem is...... if like mine the wife will want another room done now
  9. Website......Michael Coins Its the one at £50.
  10. I should of changed the topic title slightly but cant alter it now ............. i am used to getting things wrong the first time
  11. I was told its approx 30,000 an HOUR by one machine although i dont know how many they have
  12. Big hat off to Rob think a fantastic future reference . I posted here as did not want to disrupt the thread and find really interesting. Be good if anyone can add others
  13. Just thought i would have a look and all the listing exactly the same although still the same price seller garyph and hopefully wont go for any more. As the seller has made a good few quid selling hundreds of copies (even his own website) i thought it out of order to list one as normal only needs one person to put a high bid in and then easy to shill. unknown in such high grade he states and probably has a box full left.........
  14. Copy cartwheel twopence listed as prooflike and currently at about £75 he must of got bored selling dozens for £15. Not on as he definitely knows its a copy.
  15. Thanks John. The Keyboard is a bit dusty
  16. Having bought a couple of the farthings due to them being so nice as the half pennies were , i got the added bonus of one being the W.w. as sold in the March LCA. Dont know if it is really worth much more than a normal one as possibly hyped up in LCA but nice to have one thats different Can anyone tell me the best Quadrum size for the Copper halfpenny and farthing please ?.
  17. Cgs variety 05 I of DEI points to space frosted Proof value (cgs) Grade 85 £275 Grade 88 £350........ in this case not really important as not in a slab.
  18. Its the same person as Coin Gallery but abit cheaper through his site Ian.
  19. The difference is Paul you know what your buying. The person who buys a 1933 replica penny that you can get for £15 and pays £130 doesnt and trusted them. Same as this Frosted thing for £550 i dont think was fair if its just a normal one worth £20. Dealers should be trusted and i appreciate they need to have a mark up but ...........i am out of this one
  20. Whats shocking is a dealer selling A/UNC 1933 pennies for £135. Not altered dates just..... RT....... although he has got a 1933 Penny thats UNC for the same price Anyway perhaps one of those dealers who doesnt like selling anything and described to me recently as more like mobile museums. For him to say he got it from a reputable source is just a get out or alternatively he has not got a clue like me
  21. If you do send it to the mint as they wont tell you from a picture be prepared for about a six / eight month reply. They will notify you straight away of them receiving it but only telling you to be prepared to wait. I was told by them a week or so ago they get dozens of decimal coins sent to them but they were kind enough to transfer me to a couple of people so i was able to mail to the right person. Only mention it as not just a couple of week turnaround
  22. So its a normal one of which the sets you can get a decent one for £80 or the single coin for £20. Dont really need to wait for any answers on here , better to wrap it up and post it back tomorrow. Better to find out now than when you came to sell it Although a couple have sold for considerably more on the LCA site. Listed as frosted 1953 proof. You really need to be able to tell the difference and you have one to compare in hand.
  23. Hi and welcome . I noticed this on another forum, did the top one you buy as a VIP proof ?. If it is a normal one (i dont have a clue) then surely no dealer would of sold that for £550. Can someone on here confirm from the photograph if it is just a normal proof please. My worry would be why would a dealer want £600 of decimal stuff
  24. Well Leo you have definately got the pictures right ....Hat Off
  25. Have you got one of the reverse or will it take a while ?.
