  1. Try google there are a few good examples.
  2. That is a common 1746 1/4d ...keep looking.
  3. Check that isn't a V over U in George(ius) that is a rare one.
  4. Dave always the pink over the brown
  5. Very rarely nowadays although I had the pleasure of 3 Mrs Peters friends (ladies i might add) who turned up plastered over the weekend.I just kept it tucked into my sock.
  6. I have a safe but no guns...we are British.
  7. Don't forget you will only recoup 50-60% of pricing guides.Your choice but whenever I go away the coins are hidden. My feral cat would rip the throat of any intruder and then I have my dog,a 19C police baton and 15 stone of prime Suffolk muscle.
  8. I know we have a few fans of TPG on the forum.Strange but true. Why anyone needs to be told what they have and pay £499 for the pleasure. In the US grading a modern coin or double die is all the rage...get yourself a loupe.
  9. The bloody tart blocked my bids. The guy is a feckin winker
  10. Try selling CGS ...LCGS coins at Heritage (it won't happen).
  11. Rob you do buy some excellent coins though so you can't afford holidays. I've just given £3k of my coin fund to my daughters bless em.
  12. Coincraft....Oh dear....be prepared for bad news.
  13. Nice one Dave. That has been resting on a virgins thigh.
  14. I've done 8 and half months and my mouth is like a budgies sandpaper.A good mate owns a pub up there and it is my duty to put him to the sword on the pool table.
  15. Wonderful coins....just bought 2 beach rods and reels off Ebay (that makes 6) me and my dawg will be ripping off North Norfolk beaches next month.Coin time, fishing time and I might fall off the wagon
  16. Tealby is an avoid for me.As are tin "cu" coins. I would never be happy.
  17. Send all edge knocked coins to Paulus together with cleaned and hair lined crap. He has a golf tee made from a 1909 1d T over a tooth.....his 1 iron awaits you.
  18. Maybe it is old age or I don't know enough about silver but the 1887 crown has been hairlined cleaned to death. Can't be having that. It would get a 1 iron off a tee made from a melted down open 3 1903 1d. Apologies for the double post....hope it doesn't wear you down :=) Dave (Azda) has mentioned the 35. Edge knocks kill.....it would be the 2nd one off my 1903 open 3 tee.

  20. In recent memory a bulk lot of 1925 2/6's were sold at auction in Australia. At the time we discussed the effect on the market price.Maybe a fellow member can direct you to this thread.
  21. I hope the candles aren't too difficult. Have a great day.
  22. It would make 2 pigs and a potato. Before this thread I'd never heard of it or its rarity.
  23. You'll be buying slabbed coins soon and getting ROYALLY RIPPED.. 44 keep looking for raw coins. Anything you like at auctions will be most likely be bidded up by others. I reckon a few fairs where you can roll up your sleeves and get stuck in will be a good day out. There is one dealer at the Midland who I always visit early who doesn't really appreciate the coins I like. If he's bought them cheaply you can get some great deals. The coins in the lighted trays in front of the dealer will have already been picked over by other dealers before the fair started so ask for other trays to look at.....ummm take a flask of coffee and enjoy yourself. You've taken a lot of flak and well done Sir...as Pete says Hat off
  24. Gibbons play so hard on the investment side no doubt aiming at dumb and dumber. Pete are all the coins slabbed?
