  1. I would hate the forum to go the way of facebook....I don't bloody want to know when people visit some yang tang(credit to Pete) restaurant. Pete has given me food for thought though and I intend to post a few tasters from my coin annals.
  2. Crikey,as Pete would say "Hat off" A great loss but achieved so much in his life.
  3. = Good Extra Crap
  4. The 1884 2/6d....well it's round,nice rims but ....it's just a crap example.
  5. 1-1 1st goal 69 mins
  6. You will need plenty of "post its" for the interesting articles.
  7. I will go 1-1 at 90 minutes (before Paul slips in with the banker) BTW well done Paulus & a good bit of fun...nice one Pete for starting the thread
  8. Just to confirm Pete are we talking after 90 mins /extra time/penalties. There must be a winner tonight and it could easily go to penalties.
  9. & Rob has a Frau!!!!!! I shall go for a 2-1 victory to the Jerries and slip into my lederhosen.
  10. Tell him to put in the next DNW so they can tell him the good news. Clive, I would love to see his pictures.
  11. Have a great day John. I love to see us Britishers playing good football. Here's to a Wales Iceland final.
  12. Has Ireland become one? If it is like "spot the ball" N Yorkshire can do one.....I had better let my Sis know....Is York fair still on?
  13. Oh dear...I must be turning completist although I believe the cut halves & quarters do round off a King and mint nicely.
  14. Triple tie ribbon 1736 Colin.Nothing to write home about so sniped accordingly.(F with eye appeal)....Typical coin overlooked by seller(who is a busy ebay dealer). I did get a nice cut John 1d Ipswich mint delivered for the price of a fish supper
  15. Take up fishing and British sports cars as well. My rods are in the lounge and I'm soon off to the river. Afterwards a little bit of work, tinker with the MG and then settle down to my coins.
  16. Hi Roger, If you could upload the spreadsheet of dates we can help....over 200 Silver Jubilee crowns would of cost £50+ in 1977 and probably worth that now.. It does sound like your parents did an interest in coins so you never know.
  17. Maybe all the unidentified coins coming out of the woodwork on ebay gives hope to all, however I was recently 2nd on a recent "rarer" 1/4d (bid trebled in last 10 seconds). Well done Jerry for your recent successes.
  18. Dave....Are you unlucky Alf perchance? http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x2yjcbz_unlucky-alf-bus-stop-very-funny_fun Oh Bugger.
  19. Probably dodged a bullet there Nick.Check his feedback. If it was dug I would like a FLO report and if appearing out of thin air "provenance". Why would an authentic coin only be put on ebay Au?
  20. C$18.99 BIN on Ebay.com
  21. Blimey...this is quick...and no I haven't signed it or intend to do so. https://petition.parliament.uk/petitions/131215
  22. Women's tokens were replaced by buisness cards left in phone boxes.I know a chap who collected these
  23. Shame about online coins,I did buy a few coins and would see Andy at the Midlands. I liked the format although a lot of rubbish never sold and good pictures were rare.I believe Megan emigrated,I think he had a coin shop in Canterbury. I still occasionally search VCOINS but my favourite dealer (Barry Murphy) has packed in and joined NCG.In the days of old when the £ was strong I repatriated a fair bit of copper. His knowledge was also top notch with ancients.
  24. I hope the package holiday wallahs had changed up their holiday £. I'm looking forward to the design of the new 50p and the Yanks will be buying all our coins. That is all.....
