  1. Results are up for anyone interested
  2. Nice to see dealers selling a lot of new stock with the Colin Cooke and Dave Craddock lists out yesterday. Must be hard to aquire so many new coins all the time
  3. Thank you Jerry and hope you had a good day
  4. Hat off and a fantastic post
  5. Yes Mark my fault, although i did not bid on it wondered what it went for The auction this time continues tomorrow Sword so dont expect the results online till tuesday.
  6. Does anyone know what price the 1861 proof sold for please ?.
  7. Yes having about two hundred and fifty takes up some space ,fortunately in an old jewellers safe at my daughters . I have a box of about the same number raw and fit in a box smaller than a lever arch file
  8. The big negative of having a few slabbed coins is the amount of space they take up
  9. The photo is spot on Brian and well spotted. Not sure about the shirt though
  10. Its a good point Mike and another reason to view the coin and make the decision by seeing the coin in hand IMO.
  11. Thanks Ian. What i meant really but did not explain is if i just remove some and nothing underneath ,but without using any chemical etc.
  12. So does that mean it wont come back Ian ?.
  13. In some instances the verd has been removed and then sent for slabbing ,this means that at the time of grading wasnt there but always the chance of it coming back over a short period of time . The coin is not going to get any better. If your not happy break it out and remove it ,alternatively just have a quick look every few months
  14. Your the expert on these Ian and have not got mine to hand , will have to check Maybe John (CHINGFORD) will confirm
  15. Also apears to be the dot on Gratia variety I am sure someone will confirm ,have you got a picture of the reverse Richard please ?.
  16. I doubt you would get a refund after a few weeks and as you say you hadnt noticed it either. I would break it out and resub mit it to auction or sell privately . Alternatively you could just keep it Do you have a picture please ?.
  17. Some pennies are unique / extremely rare but the 1933 of which two out there will always be the one Hence the reason for the price paid a couple of months ago. Numerous others will or should be worth more than may be realised but dont have the same interest ,atleast the 1933 are both in this country and owned by true collectors.
  18. Although not my thing counting teeth that seems a big difference IAN
  19. Fantastic collection Mark and yes your probably right and one of the reasons some were good buys. As rare as the above coin is rare looks cleaned from the picture and a variety i would not buy . If its been worked on would cast a doubt
  20. Thank you Paul. For anyone interested there was not a second edition and the one i bought was just rebound
  21. It was a fantastic collection of which can be viewed on line. Think Gary (Jac) bought a few and the 1871 was mint
  22. Have you got one or looking for a good one Mike ?. Alfnail had one not long ago (IAN) although he may of sold it and i know someone selling a decent one A/UNC in a slab. Pete.
  23. P of Penny to Gap is easier to spot Mike
