  2. This seller is starting to get on my nerves again with the prices . He has a standard 1895 that is worth £100 maximum currently at £320 with twenty three bids . Good luck to him but cant understand people bidding so high on a MS 64 common coin.

  4. Thanks Matt. I have just picked up the freeman book who explains in detail.........i should of looked before posting He says it was to keep the colour of bronze due to a tin reduction . However the ones i have that are not mint toned are closer to the colour bronze than the Black/purple ones. Pete.

  6. Behave and get your head down. You wanted to sell them and offers were made ,you did not reply. Surely if you ask a question and someone takes the time to reply it would of been manners to aknowledge them weather you liked the answer or not . The forum will never be the same without you

  11. I have spoken to a few people at the royal mint regarding errors etc. As far as emails i am to impatient and always want to speak to someone and BULLY my way to speak to the right person ,then after the conversation have there name ,direct number and mail address, anything we have discussed i ask them to drop me a line and they have been really helpful . Just sending a mail does not appear to work as i am sure they get hundreds
  12. Be on ebay soon Mike for about £1K I bid on a crap coin but had a letter (royal mint) that finished on sunday and bid £22 just for a bit of interest as was more interested in the letter than the coin. The seller had a reserve of which was not met but kindly sent me a message to say the reserve was £3400.00 if i was interested. Still having a think about it
