  1. Thank for the replies and for the page Peter
  2. I have been looking for a list ,however as so many people collect different denominations it seemed an easy place to start on here. I dont want to look at hundreds and only milled from about 1840. If anybody can give a couple only of key dates from any denomination apart from pennies i would be gratefull. Pete.
  3. Well that leaves me out i cant really see it on a big picture ,so would have no chance looking at a coin
  4. I dont have any to look through but if anyone has a spare one please PM me. Pete.
  5. I am sure that you are right Dave. Lovely telephone manner
  6. Not worth bothering about supermack its not a big deal and things happen. I sold about thirty to a dealer last year and was happy with what he paid me. The first thing he did was break them all out, they still have a value of what you paid for them (hopefully)it does not matter what the coin is in . Just got to move on and remember they are only coins of which you still have As far as being bullied of which is a strong word i can understand and dissapointed myself but definately not upset Keep smiling. Pete.
  7. I forgot the carl frampton fight was on so just got up to watch it , more interesting than a few coins
  8. Is there anything down near you Paul?.
  9. Will any other forum members be there ?. Not sure if i will go ,although be a change as not been for about four years when i used to buy banknotes.
  10. Thanks Matteo. Think i might go to the Wakefield show in the morning and have a look round to get a better idea. Not really sure what to do and not in any rush. Being at a show might allow me to buy something as not bought a coin for two week
  11. I think maybe i am missing something here. I sent a coin i paid £xxx for and paid for it to be graded, checked for any problems/faults,put in a plasic box and photographed. They send it back giving me what i wanted to know and asked for. I either keep the coin being happy or return /sell it. Its still the same coin If thats cost me £xxxxx over three years feel its better than having a box of coins that may turn out to be worthless in twenty years. I can take it out or leave it in the slab ,thats ireleavent. Cant really see any problem ?. Pete.
  12. Cant say i am over the moon and have over two hundred. They are still the same coin in a piece of plastic and just got to keep smiling. Pete.
  13. Just found out if you pay the subsciption you get a free package posted. You get a certificate, sticker and a signed photo of semra
  14. All good fun Either pay or dont , cant see it effecting many people apart from the people who maybe just use the site as a reference. I suppose its not much different than increasing the slabbing fee ,although that might be next As far as buying / selling them can understand that being the main negative Pete.
  15. Total carnage
  16. The mail they have just sent me is a bit tricky
  17. If someone calls you tomorrow You have more chance of being hit by lightening .
  18. New site back up Although just for submissions i think as not sure what else you can use it for
  19. They had done upto about 39505 on saturday as i and another forum member had received some back. Although inbetween that number and yours i have some more and also been waiting awhile although the invoice date was May. Hope you dont mind i was also a bit nosey and had a look at your coin Start using the forum marston and hope you get them back soon and happy with the result. Pete.
  20. What was one of the UIN marston
  21. I dont have a clue about them but your point i would never of thought of so they could be counterfeit of the same time ?. If so i suppose someone would still buy one rather than a modern copy. That makes a lot of sense
  22. Hat off Ian and a really good job. Hope if you get a few quid and they are right craig ........Buy Ian A pint
  23. Its a tricky one . For all the help i am most gratefull and the forum members know who you are. Thanks for the replies 1887 jubilee, stuntman , Dave and Peter. I am not in any rush and will be giving it some thought as my initial plan was just to look at key dates of any denomination but then feel my grading knowledge of other coins (zero ) would take me back were i started . The more obvious one is halfpennies........but not sure. Peter there are still alot missing as you could go on forever with varieties and minor date widths some of which i am not bothered about, but i do have most of the copper 1797-60 I found looking at the Bramah numbers fascinating also and have spent about eighteen months on them. Think the problem is i am always wanting to buy something coin wise Pete.
  24. Could be worth 1K. Welcome to the forum Nanwem, although as far as the holiday goes it might buy you half a lager when you get there ,depending were your going.
