  1. Looks a good error Jon.....Three legs and not got a head.....HAT OFF Joking aside nice group of coins although i dont know anything about them
  2. I am sure he is Gary although i have never met him or bought from him. Most people tend to be nice though and smile when you give them a few quid. He does sell some really nice coins though just the prices always seem high on ebay.
  3. I was born in 1967 so just been trying with one of them. The wife just asked me what i was doing...........

Yes Void Hat off .....and welcome to the forum
  5. Always better in the sun especially for the next few months. Surprised you have a passport
  6. I did try to help......Dont have a clue why. Anyway just a thank you would of done but you have obviously not got the word in your system or just not bothered. Not a problem i will continue to try and help others.
  7. Just been looking on ebay Mike
  8. Thanks Mike. I had assumed it must of been to do with the mintage numbers. So i need to look for a mint roll of 1961 as £5 each seamed steep
  9. Sorry if this is a daft question.......probably Looking at Pennies 1961-67. Why is the 1961 harder to find and more expensive ?. I know we are not talking hundreds but still a big difference in dealers selling other years for £1 and the 1961 for £5. Maybe as mentioned a daft question but ........?
  10. That was a good buy Mike and better than mine
  11. Thats quality and the type of thing i would buy........picking them up though and i can understand why
  12. And if you do please let us know Alternatively if your selling them i will give you 99p for one
  13. Why not just send the picture to the royal mint and ask them ? Alternatively just phone as sure they will know. I would of thought there must be some trials that were sent to possibly companies who manufacture machines to ensure they work.....only a guess.
  14. Looks better IMO . Otherwise and my way is...... if you think it needs cleaning and dont like it then dont buy it. Chances are you will never be happy with it and after cleaning it nobody else wants it either. Pete.
  15. Just think they are a nice thing to have one of.........Not a box full. Would like forum members to have one and keep
  16. Thanks Matt will post you one on Monday.
  17. All the talk about Michael Freeman sale has made me look at a box i have. Mr Freeman first copy of ........The Bronze coinage of Gt.Britain was done in 1970. Before computers etc. I Have some original printing blocks that ......if forum members want one will sell for £25 each including postage. They are wood with copper and a chance to own a block you will never see again. I can only sell a few and your going to have to leave to me what i send as not taking pictures of all of them Pete.
  18. Snipe bid last few seconds everytime Cant see any other benefit .
  19. The 1954 and 1952 dont have the same clout as the 1933. Also if a coin unique hard to compare and sometimes better if a couple are known but i think both would make about £60-70 K today so about £70K each at a guess ?.
  20. Thanks Ian.....I should of taken a picture of the reverse but my pictures are crap Yes your correct and the P.T.
  21. One i bought a few weeks ago 1856 Penny not the easiest date to find in a decent grade.
  22. Its the same coin the beads can alter with the angle of the picture and light.
  23. I dont want to rant Brian ......but more defend otherwise it gets out of control with the high percentage of forum members always stating negatives. Be lucky.....Keep smiling and happy collecting
  24. Only money and i am not bothered about a few quid on grading fees. I do it for myself not you or anyone else
