  1. Yes they will weigh less but would not of thought that much maybe a gr but am only guessing. Sure someone may no ,why is it realevant if the coin is only fine is it one thats copied ?.
  2. A quick look and should be 14.1gr and the same for every year. What does yours weigh ?.
  3. Yes that must be on a par with the daftest thing i have seen To put twenty new coins in a slab, you cant even see them.
  4. Yes i got one yesterdayand a well put together catalogue and probably the best i have seen. It does make me wonder how cost effective it is as there is nothing in it for me and must cost a few quid. Its a shame really as mine has gone in the bin.......maybe i should not of said that as they probably wont send me another . I have told them previously though what i buy as dont want them just wasting them and suppose i cant do anymore.
  5. The 2005 Sovereign looks terrible IMO
  6. I would not have a clue sorry and never seen one before.
  7. Hi David and welcome to the forum. I am sure Prep will be along soon as he likes wandering around fields with his wellies ,mosquitos and cow Rang
  8. Its more to do with the costs involved getting them posted to the UK that effects the price.
  9. When you say honest i dont think the seller is doing anything wrong personally. There are loads of them (fake coins) and readily available ,unfortunately its the people who resell them as genuine that are the problem and they will always find them. Not every collector wants to spend alot of money on the genuine coin so maybe fills a gap with a copy. If its who i think it is he has been or was a dealer for years and if not there are boxes of decimal sets turn up regular so nothing untoward there. Only my opinion Pete.
  10. I think you may of saved yourself a few quid. The seller used the same image for different years and doubt the picture of the obverse was 1911.
  11. Was this a coin you had looked at and viewed Rob as you seem quite sure and respect your opinion. Could it not of been or atleast the bidders thought was an unrecorded Rev B Copper Proof ?. I still cant get my head around why there was so much interest
  12. Hi and welcome to the forum. Which coins do you have an interest in ?.
  13. Yes i am sure your right Jerry although annoying when your watching something and some Sweet talker sneaks in Not that i would have any chance........They would not understand me
  14. Problem with bidding on line........if you bid at the same time as a couple more but yours registers last you may end up bidding more than you wanted especially if larger increments. Sometimes i feel online bidders wait until any intial interest has gone ,then next bid will hopefully be just that.
  15. Two weeks holiday
  16. Thanks Dave and Vicky
  17. It only shows the BIN price and not the lower offer one.
  18. The 1826 Penny having looked again i cant understand as although a lovely coin the price .............. Has anyone got a clue as to what i am missing as there must of been atleast a couple of bidders keen ?.
  19. No prices realised i can find, can anyone tell me the price of the 1831 Halfpenny please.
  20. There is a magnifier top right of the small picture if you click on that it makes it bigger.
