    Can anyone recommend any books for varieties of milled silver please. Maybe the groom one or similar i havent got any ?. Not really interested in anything before 1860. Thanks.     Just looked at the credit card bill from last month when i was in hospital. Glad i was only in five days

    I have a mate with a family business that around that time had hundreds of machines. Him and his brother looked through thousands and never found one. Maybe around that time a lot of people were looking for them before they spent them. There is an article in the daily mirror today about a £2 and again probably lots of people are probably checking them. I have not got a £2 coin to look at

    Although i am only using CGS prices the standard and proof graded 85 are the same. Not a lot of difference in prices for ones graded below. Although they have graded 4 proofs against 45.

    Good site and although not my thing the indicators on the kew gardens i found interesting . Also the swimming 50p and the cards .

    The first one i bought around 2011/12 i paid £90 for from Chard in blackpool . Not long after there were some at a Brock auction for £40 each

    Although the pictures are not as conclusive as the blown up pictures of your own........ CGS have a variety described as ........1851-03 second R in brittaniar over thinner higher R. I would assume that it must be the same variety. Well spotted and a good find ,both the N just appear recut,although i dont look at half pennies and may be wrong Again it must be worth comparing / overlaying with a different R.
