  1. Come on brad not much happening on here what did you get . Although untill you get the invoice you cant be sure
  2. I didnt bid on anything brad but always interested in the prices realised
  3. It does not appear as sold in the results
  4. Seeing nature come alive does not seem the right line to use as they are then shot With regards older coins you are looking for take your time and do some reading to get familiar with grading / prices before you end up buying too much. Some good books and the search facility on here will allow you to read thousnds of old threads if you enter anything you are interested in. Happy hunting (coins)and be lucky Pete.
  5. Hi lain (ian) and welcome to the forum. Pete. Just looked again ....Whats wildfowling
  6. I started wanting just a few nice ones and after a date run . Then it just went beserk
  7. As i have noticed this posted a couple of times i would like to ask you a question Why do you think the coin is worth so much ?. I dont know anything about them but looked at the prices should the coin have been ok.
  8. Only you can decide that Ben would be a shame to sell maybe , although you dont mention if any are worth much ?. Made me think though the ten shilling note was withdrawn in the late sixties and the £1 note in 1983 and you can still find thousands of them . Millions were printed just the same as the £1 coins out there now and the notes in circulation did not obviously last long. Mid runs (with obvious exceptions) in circulated condition are not worth much more than the notes value 30/40 years ago. Be lucky. Pete.
  9. yeah not to bothered about the foot
  10. Maybe thats the worse side Matt.
  11. Spent the last couple of weeks reading the Groom and Davies books and both strongly recommended. The Groom one was more suitable really for what i was looking for " The identification of British 20th century silver coin varieties ". I just need to find the coins now
  12. Hi Andrew and welcome to the forum. Did the guy at the antique shop not mention it was R for RANG
  13. That explains it thanks Bernie. It confused me as the bronze were buns / lighthouse (so not 1853 ) and the set displayed as 1893 with the silver as mentioned earlier dates.
  14. £10,000.00 on eBay ...........GUY you should of put £8,888.88
  15. Anything between nothing and £250 its impossible to say without a picture .
  16. The proof set in the sheild is 1893 to me ,but happy to be shot down
  17. Yes the 1932 a lot harder and at that grade must be really nice and a good buy
  18. Your not missing anything Jaggy its a nice coin but of a relatively common year and i cant see anything special. I think its more to do with it being MS65RD that seems to fetch a premium and would be suprised if it went for anymore. The price for the English graded one in 85 is £75.
  19. I can understand that as i would be put off also. One slabbing company has looked at SIXTY of them so obviously a problem.
  20. Thats also a lot better as when you bought it the reverse was the worse side HAT OFF
  21. Its not for me to be satisfied more think its OTT . Yes i dont know all the facts ......that was the point i was making. I am sure your freind will not be to upset about a squirell nutkin 50p . You have got your money back ,maybe move on as its all part of the ebay experience Having just looked again the postage was free and for an item worth £2 dont understand why they would send recorded.
  22. This is daft and not a crime or a scam. Someone sells SIX suirrel 50p things and some christmas pudding covers and members of the forum kick off. Hardly crime of the century total of £12 and worth £3 and some feedback from others was ok. How do you know the seller is not on holiday or the coin is not lost in the post. Richard was the follower so had clicked himself ............then removed it also. I hope for the sellers sake the coin turns up and gets an apology as they getting greif on here and i dont think thats fair. I am being as HONEST about this as i can and dont like anyone getting a slating as always two sides to every story. Just because the seller has not replied does not mean they are guilty but could be ill, hospital, holiday. All over a coin for £2.................. The £2 the buyer got back so all ends on a happy note
  23. Looks absolutely RANG TANG . I could just imagine if the wife came home and i had done that. Although it could be worse she could do it with mine
