  1. The most important thing is.........What do you think ?. If you could see them in hand and all as good i would probably buy them all........Its ebay and if it goes PETE TONG you only have yourself to blame. The seller has atleast another nine and the one you purchased is really nice but are the others ?.
  2. Thank you for letting me no Paul
  3. Thank you for letting me know it had arrived and your happy. Pete.
  4. Its a shame its now at this kind of money for something thats RANG
  5. Now online for anyone interested
  6. Come on Pete wind your neck in F41.......
  7. Seller that drives me mad as your aware Jerry a lot are wrongly attributed and that many i am sure he must know ,although i admit to buying one off him a few weeks ago .
  8. As you say in your above post Prep everyone is different and has different opinions weather its grading ,cleaning etc. Its not a case of me or anyone else being shot down on here more to do with someone else giving an opinion . In a lot of cases coin knowledge cannot be learned in a few weeks/years and thats why i am always on here as only been collecting about four years myself. Some on here have been collecting for years .......in some cases lots of years One thing i will add is copper pennies are best left alone (although suffer the most problems IMO ) as almost everything you do will show from my tests over a few months a couple of years ago. I just buy ones i am happy with and prepared to pay more..........although not a lot more Be lucky and keep smiling. Pete.
  9. Yes they will weigh less but would not of thought that much maybe a gr but am only guessing. Sure someone may no ,why is it realevant if the coin is only fine is it one thats copied ?.
  10. A quick look and should be 14.1gr and the same for every year. What does yours weigh ?.
  11. Thanks Paul. I will post on Monday.
  12. Yes that must be on a par with the daftest thing i have seen To put twenty new coins in a slab, you cant even see them.
  13. £65 if going to a collector and not for resale
  14. Yes i got one yesterdayand a well put together catalogue and probably the best i have seen. It does make me wonder how cost effective it is as there is nothing in it for me and must cost a few quid. Its a shame really as mine has gone in the bin.......maybe i should not of said that as they probably wont send me another . I have told them previously though what i buy as dont want them just wasting them and suppose i cant do anymore.
  15. The 2005 Sovereign looks terrible IMO
  16. The Scarcer in high grade 1940 SINGLE EXERGUE penny F226 cgs 80. Not the best picture but better than i can do £80 including postage.
  17. Not a problem thanks Paul. Will be Monday before i can post it though
  18. 1895 F41 CGS graded 80. Ex-Dr.Findlow and a nice coin . £70 including postage Pete.
  19. I would not have a clue sorry and never seen one before.
  20. Hi David and welcome to the forum. I am sure Prep will be along soon as he likes wandering around fields with his wellies ,mosquitos and cow Rang
  21. Its more to do with the costs involved getting them posted to the UK that effects the price.
  22. When you say honest i dont think the seller is doing anything wrong personally. There are loads of them (fake coins) and readily available ,unfortunately its the people who resell them as genuine that are the problem and they will always find them. Not every collector wants to spend alot of money on the genuine coin so maybe fills a gap with a copy. If its who i think it is he has been or was a dealer for years and if not there are boxes of decimal sets turn up regular so nothing untoward there. Only my opinion Pete.
  23. I think you may of saved yourself a few quid. The seller used the same image for different years and doubt the picture of the obverse was 1911.
