  1. Thanks Paddy & Jerry. I had it in my head that it could be a Freeman 1*. It is a nice coin, but not cheap.
  2. Hi guys, could you just confirm for me which obverse you think that this coin is. Thanks, Ian
  3. I like copper pennies, but i did not start collecting them until about 3 or 4 years ago. I have some bronze pennies, but i don't collect them as much as the coppers.
  4. Old Tins can make good money. It is probably worth more than the coins😁
  5. I That is an impressive job that you have done there Jerry, and quickly too.
  6. Easy answer, to get money i would say. Always a chance that somebody would pay silly money.
  7. I will not comment this time Richard, but.....
  8. So he wants you to pay for the coin that you sent him, before he pays you! He is deluded. I would politely ask him to send you the coin back. No deal.
  9. This is a very interesting subject. I would say that the buyer should pay Richard, as he got a refund when the coin did not turn up. He now has the coin and has effectively not paid for it.
  10. It makes sense to me.
  11. Very nice. I am not jealous at all.😁
  12. The worrying thing is that the previous owner did not get much for this lovely coin. Maybe deceased and the family did not know about coins.
  13. Same here, i had not spotted that one. I look at their site regularly. I am in disbelief right now, F148?
  14. That is just as i suspected😁
  15. The report says that it is the equivalent of £14000 today. But i wonder what the coins are actually worth? Probably more than that i would guess.
  16. I am no expert, but i am thinking that the E over I is much rarer than the R over R. Nice coin. Mule though? Beaded both sides.
  17. Thanks Cliff. I agree with Mike, GEF. Also that they are very difficult to find much above fine grade.
  18. Nice coin Cliff. You mean opinion on the grade?
  19. Nice coin Cliff. You mean opinion on the grade?
  20. £44. It looks more like a 'B' than a 3, so that should be to left of the lighthouse😁
  21. I like DNW's description "Of bright appearance" The coin has certainly lost it's character.
  22. I would like an 1897 F148 as well, in a decent grade. I do have an 1856 OT, though not for sale. So I have signed up for the newsletter now. Thanks for mentioning it.
  23. Well, it is up to £17.00 at the moment. Still way more than it is worth. Somebody must like it alot.
