  1. That is a very nice example, Terry.
  2. I thought for a minute that you were showing an f164a, then i realised that it was not one. Damn, that would be a great find.
  3. There is also an 1882 no H in the DNW auction on 12 February as well. Poor, but extremely rare. Difficult to be convinced about the no H though, as i think somebody has mentioned before.
  4. I would say reverse G. P of penny is closed, 138 teeth. But i could be wrong.
  5. Lets face it, he is just being an awkward twit to get himself in the news.
  6. I have searched for the July 2009 SNC too, without success. I would like to see that article, if possible.
  7. I thought that i was going mad there, or Peck was hehe. Glad that it all makes sense now.
  8. And you got the F32 quite cheap? Wow, somebody let that get away.
  9. No problem, it is best to be sure.
  10. I would agree with Peck, they do all seem to have the incuse curl. Well it looks like it on your English Pennies and Penny Variety sites Richard. Or am i missing something? Many thanks, Ian
  11. Taylor restrikes are listed on page 366 that you mentioned, but none for the die pairing kp31 with the imperfect figures. Interesting.
  12. I guess that lots of us have all bought coins on ebay that look like rarities, but when we get then in hand, they are not. My closest to a complete steal was an 1862 1/2 pence for £2. There is a mark to the left of the lighthouse that could be a letter A if you look at a certain angle, but i don't think that it is. The coin is in vg condition. Still, i like the coin because it is an interesting one.
  13. It is a funny looking shilling.
  14. Nice coin Hazelman. Maybe nvf at a guess.
  15. What price did the F24 go for please.
  16. And also this 1859 penny, with extra dot above colon.
  17. That 1920 nickel pattern is an amazing coin.
  18. He passed away in january 2015, aged 94.
  19. Indeed not Jon, but Dr Basil Nicholson certainly had a great collection😀
  20. Hi Jon, You need to look at the "Newly identified Pattern and Proof variants" page 217. Cheers, Ian
  21. Funnily enough, i just counted the denticles on the London Coins site, Auction 157, lot 2670. I counted 189 on the 3B coin, so no difference. I hope that this helps.
  22. I just have to add, that it was a mint state 1843 penny.
  23. This is very interesting. Just a few weeks ago, i saw a coin advertised at £425 at an online coin dealer's website.. The coin for sale obviously should have listed at £4250. I thought should i buy it, or not? I did not buy it, thinking that it could cause complications at some point. Anyway, the next time i looked on that site, maybe a week later, the coin was not for sale at all. I still wonder if somebody did get a bargain?
