  1. This coin looks like an 8/7. Do you agree folks?
  2. Interestingly, the fees on Easylive are 17% + VAT, so 20.4%, not the usual 17% including VAT. Nice that they are on the site though, thanks Paddy.
  3. Indeed it is, but at least the reverse is decent.
  4. Very pleased with this 1919kn that i just received. Not my pics, but they are spot on.
  5. I think that there will be a lot of bargains and a lot of unsold lots. Hopefully some coins that i/us here, want to buy.
  6. They are accepting lots up to the 8th May, so the catalogue will be a few days after that date i guess.
  7. Hi Weaver. Maybe M J Hughes? They seem to show that they take scrap coins on their website.
  8. Well spotted Richard, it certainly looks possible.
  9. You would have to be a complete fool to not know the size of a coin that you were buying for £50000+ , but it might have happened at some time, who knows?
  10. As John Cleese said on Monty Python "It makes me mad"
  11. Two very nice florins MJ. It must be at least a 63 grade for your 1860 i expect too.
  12. I agree Rob. The toning on the reverse is very nice. It would look much better if they had just left the toning on the obverse. Grade ef/gef imo.
  13. I have just realised that i was looking at a different auction for patterns. But if you go to search 'Pattern shilling 1887' and look at the Christies.com result, it is there. Also the link above it 'The Mitchell-David Collection' is the one with all the gold patterns that i mentioned. Sorry, i am no good at easy links.
  14. Both available from Amazon at a very good price.
  15. Correct me if i am wrong (again), but is that really a proof for under £200?
  16. A proof with a 1/1 nice. That must be worth a premium.
  17. I looked at that auction archive. The patterns that were sold that day were incredible. Gold pennies galore.
  18. Brexit? I had forgot all about that for some reason. Not seen a Brexit 50p in my change yet.
  19. Very nice find Blake. I sometimes trawl the ebay pennies, but i feel like i am going crosseyed after a couple of hours. And i have never found a convincing rare penny going cheap. Well done for completing your set.
  20. Hi Paddy. There is no reference to a different die or dot on the 1856 florins in ESC. And i have never heard or seen anything about this, as i would have made a note. I will check my 1856 florin when i get home, just to see.
  21. Sleep bidding, i guess that is a new saying💤
  22. Alternatively, if they do keep to just commision bids, there could be a lot of bargains for the buyers. But not good for the sellers. I think that jaggy might have hit the nail on the head.
  23. That was an excellent lot with the D2's Jerry. Was hoping to get one of those, but well done to you. Ian
  24. Thanks Richard, i am glad that you think the same. Indeed, i was thinking au/gef.
  25. That is a great looking coin, Richard. But graded at nearly ef?
