    I would rather have the ungraded bottom coin. Looks better and struck better than the top MS64.

    Same here, i cannot see them either. Found some decent 1848 pattern florins though.

    I see that there are plenty of places on ebay taking orders for the Charles III 50 pence pieces, at about £8 each. Seems expensive to me.

    It is not yet 28 days since the last LCA Auction quite yet, as it was on the 4th of Septmber, so all is not lost.

    Update, i just got an email from LCA saying that my coins have been despatched.

    Would it be normal if the first coins of Charles III sold out very quickly, and then on eBay at inflated prices? Just guessing that it might happen as well.

    It often takes them maybe two weeks to deliver. I paid last week and have not seen the coins yet, but it is not a problem.

    Well i won two lots at the weekend, both well below my top price that i submitted. Missed out on one other, but happy with the two.

    I think that it could be a proof, but it is very difficult to tell from those pictures.

    If it is not a 5a2, then it could be a 5a1, in which case you got a bargain. But I am no expert.

    You must have been unlucky, the search for British milled just worked for me, then the item to cabinet worked fine as well. Curious website now I agree, has a mind of it's own I think sometimes.

    Certainly nothing like that on any of my George iii crowns.

    That looks quite interesting. I will check my crowns later, to see if I have something similar.

    Not the first that has happened I know. 5 out of 6 lots that i won at one LCA auction were at my max bid. Nice coins though. I just take a percentage off my bids now and funnily enough, i don't win so many, so who knows.

    I know what a quantum capsule is, but that is not really what Einstein meant.

    The Wootton Sale is online now. One or two lots that i like, so is ok.
