Well, the seller never replied to my message, but he has the grace to withdraw the item concerned

My message read as follows:-

 New message to: johsm10

That's just a normal worn penny. There is no extra "m" in the obverse devices, and it reads as normal "DEI GRA BRITT" - so what are you on about?

The worst thing is the blatant polishing - the rather unnatural blue lighting only makes this more obvious!

Somebody ought to email her a link to this thread - might be amusing to see her reaction then!

I tried to help her out years ago when she first started- she claimed she was in a fix dealing with a collection of a dying partner.

I advised on various penny as to what they actually were- it was all very pleasant, and she was really thankful, and thenall of a sudden I have the most abusive emails I've ever had. When I politely pointed them out to her she was very apologetic and claimed that some guy in Norfolk had hacked her computer.....

Normal for Norfolk or Suffolk? Peter might be able to shed light on that. ;)

That's pretty much identical to my experience with her.

Not 100% sure but I think I sold her the original coin in this thread
