  1. Yes i have just read it Zoo although i have not looked before or at 1966 pennies. Maybe Dave will tell us ?.
  2. I had never heard of the Finger flaw Zoo . I dont have a clue what yours is either Zoo is it raised and wont blow off or just a dig Does anyone know or have a picture of this finger flaw one as intrigued to know why its called that. Pete.
  3. Nobody took any notice of me Gary untill i had them slabbed and was the only real reason for doing it. It was also why i sent two. If you look at pictures they are not always convincing.
  4. Surely its better to bid in increments until someone says they are out or time has elapsed with them not replying. I go back to the Colin Cooke way .....Just done on a much smaller scale. Counting down seconds sound daft although i bid £5 and someone else bids £20 and i cant come back is like some kind of postal bidding thing . Anyway its all about a bit of fun and something different that could be done with a group of people who trust eachother and share the same interests. Counting down seconds 10 seconds 9 8 7 6 5 4 3 2 1 Hammer noise Hat off to them all though and going to have to get on this facebook
  5. Are the facebook auctions done along similar lines to the colin cooke sales. Start day / end day you send a private bid and the seller just keeps ubdating it to a cut off ?. So no last second snipe which i assume is daft and not possible. How does it work please and do they sell just a few ?.
  6. I dont know if most on here dont use facebook like myself or dont want to post Must be a big coin market with millions of users , do you see dealers listing coins each week / month and if so are some of the coin groups large ? Surely anything is better than the Rang on ebay.
  7. What a fantastic reply and thank you for taking the time.....BIG HAT OFF. Keep smiling. Pete.
  8. Your loosing me Tim. Is the 1913 a limited one specially struck by the Royal Mint for Tuesday ?.
  9. I dont use faceache but wondered how many do use it to buy or sell coins. A couple of weeks ago a forum member was kind enough to purchase a coin on my behalf and having a look a lot are being sold on there. The seller was also kind enough to send me a collectors coins book price guide and If anyone wants it FOC please PM me your address. Is facebook something anyone on here uses ?.
  10. Having slabbed over 80 million PCGS /NGC i suppose some are going to be wrong
  11. Yes its a nice coin although like the penny 1902 High Tide is common and can be found in high grade /well struck quite cheaply compared with some other ED V11 years. The low tide halfpenny however is much scarcer and will cost you more. Not a lot of money and one to put away Sorry if i am going on about something you knew. How much does a coin cost you to get slabbed in the USA by NGC please Jester ?. Pete.
  12. Yes his spelling and English is nearly as bad as mine,
  13. One sold in the last DNW.... if i remember correctly £900 plus premium or there abouts.
  14. Definately know expert Peter but i do look at them everyday
  15. Hi Tim........Sorry but i cant agree that the 1878 is scarcer in UNC than 1869.
  16. Not snowing here
  17. Sorry Rob / John as Mark had not had any replies since yesterday i just assumed nodody was interested in them and just giving him a couple of options.
  18. You will as you say get more selling them individually. However to get rid of them all quickly maybe try LCA who are currently taking submissions for an auction the first week in December although you will only have a week or so to contact them. Tennants is another one who seem to sell alot.....Not sure if i have spelt it right but another auctioneer for them. A dealer who may be interested who is sound is Andy at ...The Coin Gallery ,might be worth a call. Its up to you what you would accept and most of them there are lots of. Good luck
  19. I like to learn on here.....Going to say NO but i am always wrong
  20. IMO jester you will learn more from the rejected / details one than any returned ok. Its better to find out after only buying a couple Keep it for now ,study it and look out for the problem on any future ones you may wish to purchase.
  21. You need to get more with it Rob as cubing is the future
  22. Yes 16 seconds does seem a bit slow
  23. Yes really i had never heard of cubing.....if you had put ,mauling around with a rubik cube i may have understood. So these competitions i assume its how quick you can complete it. What coins do you collect thazz ?.
  24. Your proof penny looks to be 2+B as discussed on the other thread
  25. Your not that much better Jester your a hundred years out on both
