  1. Just returned from North Norfolk with a red nose, too much wine but a great weekend. It was hot, hot, hot We shall buy up there. The locals are tops and no rip off prices. Even on Sunday we got a 100yd clearance from the next family. We always headed West for the family beach holiday......no more
  2. Wouldn't touch that lot.CC bought a batch of 1886's a while back. They are still being drip fed into the market.
  3. Couldn't sleep and have been pestered by the coo coo of the local dawn chorus of flying rats. An air rifle it is then.
  4. pre mrs peter
  5. My 2 girls are in charge...let them serve them selves The first time I was left in charge I had the Evil dead Vid plus enough pussie to sort all of us out. It was 6 of my buddies in duvets with some nice girls too freaked. 1981 I did end up banging a right sort
  6. Norwich castle is well worth a visit as I hate to say it Norwich is a nice City. There were some nice coins and hoards on display As it happens we are off to North Norfolk tomorrow for a few days with the dog. I'm debating on taking the rods and shrimp net but the forecast is good so I will probably chill with the papers and squeeze into my speedo's
  7. I'm sure a CGS slabbed 80 will come up soon for £25
  8. Oh, it all helps at the moment, believe me! Just managed to get a tenant into the Gillingham house as of yesterday. It was only empty for 15 months. Blimey Chris I can remember you having tenant problems ages ago. We have been very lucky although are tenants do push for everything.
  9. Now now Stuart A TPG knows more than than me on my subject? It ain't going to happen. I think I know my raw collection.
  10. Welcome Ben Pity it wasn't Freeman 80 because they are worth considerably more.
  11. I'm going to now wipe my key board. Anyone here going to take a punt?
  12. The YH 1887 is very difficult in a top grade.
  13. Better than gold plated pennies
  14. 1820 looks if it can grade VF. They all are warts and all images. Very light hairlines on the half crowns which wouldn't show in hand. I will guess on the values 1)Depends on edge details. There are five types.Probably it one of the 2 commoner types which would retail between £80 to £120 2)retail about £70 to £90 3)retail about £60 to £80
  15. I concur with Peck on the attractiveness of both coins. The crown F/GF The half crown approaching NVF.
  16. Right about the too many. What was the attraction? I hate to think how many I would need to drink to pluck up the courage and purchase that one. My one is so worn I like to upgrade...even the horrible pennies. I would like to get a top 69(wouldn't we all chaps ) The 71 was an example and I can get rid of the existing.
  17. Should buy a nice meal at the local Indian. keep posting. I usually start at 99p and they tend to end up at the market price. Although bulk up the damaged silver. Don't bother selling modern bronze.
  18. I bought this recently (after too many Speckled hens) I shall aim at a few BU common dates Viva Declan. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=171050142947
  19. Mrs Peter has a Hyundai SIII coupe and I have recently sold my 1.9 turbo Vectra with a view to buy an Estate but Dog/family friendly. Plus my DIY is an important part of what I enjoy. You can't put a door or smelly springer in a Porsche Cayman.
  20. Try this site for a guide to prices.I can't load flicker so I can't comment on the grades. http://www.coins-of-the-uk.co.uk/values/index.html
  21. Hi All the pre 1947 silver has bullion value. Pre 1947 is 50% silver and pre 1920 92.5%. As Peck stated condition is the key.
  22. Bob So your lottery numbers came up. That is a pretty penny.
  23. I bought a case of Newcastle Brown then worked away for a week and Mrs Peter and her friends gulped the lot. To her credit she bought me 3 Speckled hens tonight but all I can find is 1 left and a bit of snoring. I wouldn't change her for an UNC 1693 & 1717 farthing...offers welcome
