  1. He desn't even accept paypal from UK addresses
  2. The 2012 Red Book has the price @ $3,150 for the proof. I get to read posts on a USA forum that the Red Book rates are a bit high.Although the proofs are more specilised.
  3. So can you explain the features that lead you to that Stuart? Because it's all new (and confusing) to me! Surely currency 3ds would far outnumber Maundy ones? The reason I ask is that ..ahem, someone - entirely unknown to me though luckily it's just the sort of thing I will appreciate - has bought me one of the RM 'lucky' silver pennies for Christmas. And if I did know about such a thing, well, I might just start thinking of buying a few more silver pennies .. as a sort of side line. Not that I do know of course. Which makes it most coincidental I happen to be posting this thread, but well, synchronicity and all that .. And if that makes sense to anyone, well done! Because I'm not sure I'm following this, but ... And I have yet to have a glass of anything alcoholic today. Most odd! Perhaps I'm channeling Peter? Now there's a worrying thought .. We have a dry house as...maybe I need some wine to reach the snowy peaks of your logic
  4. A 1927 crown would be a big temptation for a sticky fingered child.
  5. Richard I do like the coin it is pleasing. I won't be looking for rare MM just a nice example.
  6. I have had a few circulated 1937 crowns but the ones I have now need a bit of Acetone and cotton bud.
  7. The grading was made by a blind cobbler with a fat thumb.

  12. He has already sorted the wheat from the chaff and sells these separately.
  13. Post 1947 silver looking (cupro nickel) and brass 3d's can be bought in bulk from car boot sales. Ebay is full of junk sellers...maybe find out where they source their coins and follow the trail back.
  14. Google Dei Gratia and you should pick up dgcoins. They attend many metal detecting rallies. I have dealt with Dave and Gary many times and they are easy to deal with.
  15. Welcome Tracy The 1d boys know their stuff.
  16. Farthing Specialist (John Minishall) I also bought coins from coin monthly ads
  17. Their heyday was pre internet. I'm sure their major clients won't be UK based. I liked their 2000 coin book.I often use it.
  18. I have a red card because of my senior daughter's 18th.....her twin 2 years younger(I can't tell the difference). We can't wait to pack them away. I still hope it will go ahead. Use Laterooms.com One deal we got was a family room at Ansty Mcdonalds.Full meals and breakfast. £99....they didn't even charge for our wine. Mrs peter had to drag me out of bed and put a boot up my jacksie. I think Coventry hotels are better value.
  19. I just wouldn't be interested in a holed/plugged coin. £10 would be too much
  20. Hi Benny It is my favourite. There are quarterly big fairs and the other months about 50 dealers.
  21. Lucky man Rob. My daughters haven't paid for my last few presents. They have learnt well from Mrs Peter. I have never been to the York Coin fair.I can't see it getting that busy with the test/golf going on plus the great weather.
  22. None of them would be kicked out of my tray.
  23. How did you do that? I wanted to copy the pop-up to save typing, but haven't a clue how to do it. Why are computers so difficult? You are too old. My calculator was the size of an Ipad in the late 70's My 1st experience of a usable computer was 1986.
