  1. There isnt a 2019 buckingham palace ,so might be worth a few quid
  2. I think its the one on Richards site Jerry ,a retired from the forum member bought it 🙂
  3. If its a 2019 Buckingham palace one Copper you need to get it on ebay 😮 🙂
  4. Yes......Unbelievable ,i am a city fan and could not turn the cricket over. Big hat off to Leach ,as a lot of pressure for a non batsman 👍
  5. Another BP1944B NOT MT that i have
  6. "onto a fortune" i dont think they are doing so bad Peter with the two main companies having done nearly 90 million already ,think they are only interested in their name on the label and not bothered about the coin thats in it
  7. I am no expert but its a F176. First 1 of date to tooth ,no rim & sea intersects tooth 🙂
  8. The 1926 as the pictures are not mine i cant be certain but think so and would say yes and blackened later ,the others are just the CGS ones before grading and also blackened later.
  9. You have a good memory Jerry and yes ,its three and a half years ago now 🙂
  10. Sure it will be a really nice one Eric and yes different collectors collect different things.I dont really buy the Low grade ones anymore or any with problems and prefer to have gaps.Although this means i am currently going through a bored phase as cant find anything that i really want 🙂
  11. I bought this a few years ago but have not put the pictures up before ,the pictures are not mine although the coin does have better lustre in hand. 1926 ME ..........CGS 80.
  12. Peck 1342 ,again IMO looks much better with the different background 🙂
  13. Thanks for confirming Mike as looked at Pecks a couple of times and was starting to confuse myself ,again
  14. This is my F160 with a picture that is clearer
  15. Looks like F160 to me Peck 🙂
  16. LETTER........Whithout typing everything or posting the letter that has some detail better not on a public forum Mr Freeman does mention the Coin monthly articles and having previously read them. The coin he had been posted was the first one he had SEEN IN HAND. After mentioning all the differences attribute as 1* an intermediate between OBV 1 & 2. Statistics reported by Alexander 1 in 567 would be R5 on his scale. The scale worked out before decimalisation and now (1978)difficult to estimate how many coins still exsist and if the proportions in which particular types or dates were hoarded is similar or different from the average. Pete.
  17. Yes i dont have Courts varieties / numbers thought in circulation anymore ,i did have and mailed it a couple of people but lost it when i changed my mail address. It did make me think that the 1978 date seemed a little late and what was actually written in the DNW letter. Freeman does not mention it on some papers i have dated 1980 ,which he was preparing updates and amendments from the first , such as F144 ,151 & 152 not being genuine. Although the letter in the DNW sale is dated 1978 and maybe he was busy trying to find others which without the internet and pictures would not of been easy 🙂 I will phone DNW up to see if they can help me 🙂 ................................................................................................................... Rather than keep posting they are going to scan the letter and mail it me.
  18. It would probably be interesting to know the contents of the letter by Mr.Freeman in 1978 for the DNW coin. A possibility was the coin was part of a large collection that has been sold by DNW recently and could therefore all stack up if only to confirm they were discovered around 1978. It wouldnt make the coin IMO worth anymore although its better than most and probably know photographs were taken at the time to confirm but an interesting coin with a letter 🙂 If anyone does view the coin / letter and would be prepared to share ( even after buying it ) the information on here or by PM please do. https://www.dnw.co.uk/auctions/catalogue/lot.php?auction_id=512&lot_id=64543 Pete.
  19. No Fletch.......Its an overlay to show the spikes you asked about 🙂. Although i did have the actual coin and a lot of the die clash did show but not as clear as the picture above , a forum member has it now.
  20. This shows how a rotated clash would be also on an 1867 . Pete.
  21. £2....OBV Jody Clark REV Wedgwood design team. 50p... OBV Jody Clark REV Magic light pictures. Thats what it says on the packets Rob with no individual named.
  22. Its definately not a F164a Jon as the picture you have put up is a Half penny The one that was with it in the LOT though is spot on. I of IND to GAP I of IMP to tooth I of BRITT to tooth Then the colons are fine............You been drinking again 😛
  23. I wasnt collecting at the time of the DNW Bamford sale Mike and bought it about three years ago already CGS graded. I decided to buy it and put away due to the provenance rather than grade 🙂
  24. They are just the CGS pictures apart from the F6 with the background changed. Think they stand out a lot better and really clear such as this one .
