  1. Maybe one for you in the Heritage sale accumulator, i like the look of that one myself http://www.sixbid.com/browse.html?auction=1105&category=22650&lot=1030290
  2. I did'nt hinkt Hey were that rare either Peck, i's have said it was a fairly common coin as they come up for sale quite often
  3. There does'nt seem to be quite the rush as some of those sellers anticipated. You can get one for just over face on ebay unslabbed
  4. Is that you quoting a SPINK BOOK PRICE Rob? Surely a coins value is what a buyer is Willling to pay and Spink is merely a guide
  5. I think Spink have left the patterns to others such as Peck and a good idea at that or else the book would be massive
  6. I have a few things listed on the bay but i'm letting them run out and not relisting until the end of the month, all are BINs though
  7. Agreed, best to leave it, hopefully they may come down in their Price as it's now obviously to much
  8. I also agree with you Rob, some People think These things go cost free. I vertainly post at cost and thats without the cost of the packet included, anything over 46 Pounds goes Special delivery, under that goes signed for, but you always get People who think that postage should be 1 Pound for everything. Then there's this visibility Thing for People who post free of Charge which is a joke and an unfair Monopoly as i also pay my fees just like everyone else. In short, i hate ebay
  9. £13.55 for a coin with a legal face value of £20! Now that's good business... for the buyer. Methinks 'motodude' drives a Reliant Robin and does shady deals on London estates. Nobody can lose so much that easily without being a real plonker. Monge twa Rodders
  10. You forget, he has fees to pay on top, so it has been a loss. Possibly be relisted me thinks
  11. I'm already out Peck, i was looking at two different coins, now looking at one. Accumulator is thinking this one over
  12. Well i also have my eye on another Steve and its the one i'm more interested in. The penny is £600 so if it still interests you then let me know and i'll PM you the link, oh and you won' be able to negotiate, its fixed at that price.
  13. Whilst on the subject of proofs, i've been watching this one with a view to buying and would like opinions of it.
  14. http://item.mobileweb.ebay.co.uk/viewitem?itemId=161164949700
  15. Well it is right now, but if Obama has his way we may join the VAT Club! LOL! BTW Dave, who awarded you the new Membership moniker (above your avaitar)...Chris? Just kidding! Ha,Ha! Lol, it was me Bob, thought i'd liven up the profile a bit as my friend keeps checking it out
  16. Gewu, so its just Europe thats getring ripped off then
  17. Jaggy, do you take into account the import duty when bidding? i've bought a couple of coins recently from the USA and both were sent in letter form, one was $800 and none of them sat in customs because of this, so it seems they can Open large packets/boxes etc but nothing that looks like normal Mail which has probably saved me 50 euros in tax
  18. Gotta love how this thread rapidly evolved into ornothology, this was from a coin question. Amazing P.s Stuart, i knew it was that birdie as well
  19. It certainly tries one's self-discipline if you tune in to the auction with no budget and no intention to spend any money! I just about managed to abstain (this time!) ... what did you win Garrett?I was lucky, i was looking at the same two coins as Garrett and missed out. Its funny, because when i've missed out i find myself scrambling around the catalogue again when i should just leave it be (which i managed to do this time)
  20. Its perhaps not the design that people are buying them for, but instead the history of why those coins were struck in the 1st place. The sixpence did really well, if i'm correct, one had an estimate of £500-£600 and opened at £1400
  21. Those commonwealths are doing well
  22. It was a nice coin granted, but the price was to high for me. I was at £350 before i bailed. Jaggy, no audio Problems here. Waiting on 1 more before work
  23. It was one i was going to bid on, but to much for me eventually Nice coin that Rob, what was the Price?
  24. 1 or 2 have went cheaper then estimate, but i was surprised at the 2 lot numbers above. The Halfcrown was nice, but not 440 quids worth, thats 530 with commission. What did you get so far Rob? Or IF you wish to divulge
