  1. Peckris is over 100 and he's up to date on Computers
  2. Hi Peckris, in more recent times we have all the coins pictured and have the number of bids and what the current bid is. Yes just drop us an email and you can either receive the lists by post or we now do a PDF that is in full colour that we can simply email you. We do a general list every month and Farthing list 4 or 5 times a year. You are most welcome to receive either or both lists!PDF Sounds more practical than going through all the postage expense
  3. I can understand your Position especially when you know the person through business, maybe this forum will eilighten you somewhat. Its a great forum and your participation along with other very knowledgable people here will be greatly welcomed. You should maybe take a good look through the ebay laughs section which is where most of this persons auctions are highlighted, it may Open your eyes as i said.
  4. Well, nice to know who you are now NRP. I wondered who you might have been when you mentioned you wanted to spend 13k on the 3 Graces in the DNW sale. You'll notice that this forum talks a lot about shill bidders, where your forum shuts those topics down. I suppose it takes a large pair to stand up against these people and not let the smaller collectors get ripped off, Chris the forum owner has this balanced perfectly, hopefully you can do the same with your forum and not just delete because you get a phone Call from the perps in question.
  5. Totally agree Richard, its been a hell of a month for auctions
  6. What are those worth nowadays compared to the kosher one? I also have a bernhard white fiver. Are you posting your Wins Clive so we can have a look?
  7. This is allegedly a proof 221287503999
  8. "This listing was ended by the seller because there was an error in the listing." Perhaps there was a stain in it somewhere
  9. Yup we have been here and done it Stuart, but the New Kids on the block have'nt. Could you imagine if he'd bought from Platt or John Blyth? Educate the masses Stuart
  10. I'd also agree Benny, but to sell a British coin in a worldwide market it would have to be in an American slab, although i will Stick by what i say, if its a rare coin such as a 1905 halfcrown or a Northumberland, i'd only go to CGS
  11. There is no point in the 100 scale because 100 will never be reached, if it is reached and a better coin comes along, then what?
  12. There ya go. £30 for a slab, can't be bad. Could probably buy 100 on his own at that price, and he had 6 rejects. Thats some good money by anyones standards
  13. always does make me think about this aspect of it as last time i spent about £450 grading the 30 odd coins and could have spent that on even more coins if not send to be graded. with regards to graded ones, ive never been to coin fairs and the likes but are there stalls where they sell graded coins and also do they seem to do very well?think im still getting over how unpopular graded British coins are I think its how strict CGS is that Put people off, couple that with their recent price increase for a longer turnaround, makes great business sense. You could also try PCGS in Paris. If you Join their Club (Joe public cannot submit unless in their club) it cost around $200-$300 for a year and you can get 8 free submissions with that. 8 submissions to CGS will cost £240 which is $384 from CGS, this does'nt include your return postage, but your coins will be in a much more widely popular slab.Personally i won't go back to CGS unless it was a Major rarity with known fakes
  14. 1919KN Penny for sale here 130992762457
  15. Azda might have some opinions! He's taken it off Perhaps he read our posts. Fear not, Dave, you can still win it here. Predecimal Advisory Service tooooo the rescue! We're happening! I'm guessing there'll be a bottle of wine in the post for us all? A vintage Nuits-Saint-Georges or a nice bottle of Arran single malt will suffice. He could afford something better than that with the amount he's ripped people off with. Aim much higher boys
  16. 0***y with a 2567 Feedback is winning so far. Still would'nt Touch his auctions with a barge pole. He does read our posts Clive, probably once a day, definately once a week
  17. I thought if a coin was rejected and you have obviously paid your money that you'd get it free next submission? Where's Bill Pugsley, he can tell us.
  18. Azda might have some opinions! He's taken it off
  19. Unfortunately i don't see the sense in buying a fake at an inflated price because its been in Mr Xs collection. There are other similar fakes out there which have'nt been in a named collection that could probably be picked up for way less. Why pay for a name and a fake
  20. Geez that was quick
  21. No idea how Long they'll take to get to me, first time i've purchased from DNW for myself The Boss has just found out how much i've just spent. She mentioned divorce, i said i was'nt so lucky
  22. So my 3 lots from DNW were 1105 1116 and 1362
  23. Well thats my invoice paid. Now to sit back and wait for the arrivals
  24. This sale seems to have gone over the top a bit. However, I have been able to buy coins at the previous DNW auction as well as at the last two London Coins auctions at reasonable prices. In fact, one of the lots I bought at this one I think is pretty reasonably priced. Eight coins, but three of them justify the price and two others are keepers. Not great or super rare. But okay. The other lot I really wanted was the 1893 Jubilee head sixpence. I think it went for £2,500. Out of my league right now (I was willing to go to £2,200) but not outrageous given the rarity. It will be interesting to see if these prices represent a trend. Personally, I suspect there is a slight increase in interest as the economy continue to recover. But I also think that this sale might be a bit of an anomaly. Time will tell. A 50 year collection of some High grade coins AMD rarities Coupled with several factors, large denomination silver and advertised since june will bring in the masses. I'm not sure its a trend, its a High end auction that does'nt come around every month.
