    Agreed. Switched it off about the 60 mins mark. I hope they win but it's to much for me at present. I'll listen to the noise on the street.

    Bathing the bitten area with a solution of warm water and epsom salt seems to help. I cleaned my bite up after I'd popped the blister with that. It didn't get infected that's the main thing. I think i killed about 6 or 7 on Friday that landed on my tee shirt while i was flying my drone. They won't go near my arms or legs when I've got deet on.

    15 times!! Wow Did you fall asleep? Think the most I've had at once was 3 bites during a camping trip many years ago, one got in the tent. I am not surpised you had a bad reaction with that many bites. Hope you feeling better now.

    I got bitten about 3 weeks ago. Usually very careful and always apply Jungle Formula repellent. Took my daughter swimming to the river, one day i forget and i took a bite on my ankle. Came up with a huge pus filled blister like a fryed egg. Itchy as hell. I ended up opening it up myself and draining it. I hate the buggers. I usually get bitten at least once per year , hoping thats the last one of this year. Will definitely be using repellent from now on.

    Much earlier. Harold II only did the one issue the PAX penny. Not sure about this one so i won't attempt to identify it as it would be a pure guess.

    It looks like AELFGAET ON. I can't make out the mint though. If it is aelfgaet then it must be Sandwich mint. The others definitely ULF at Lincoln mint. But to be safe get a second opinion off Rob regarding the Aelfgaet one. Regards Stu.

    Good strategy Pete. I found my Rhuddlan half in amongst a bunch of cut half pennies. You occasionally hit a gem.

    If I've got the orientation correct on your first one i can make out AELFG. That i presume is part of the moneyers name. Going through my books the only one i get a close match with to that is Aelfgaet at Sandwich mint. But do not take this as 100% accurate. I'd need a clearer image to positively confirm that. I am 100% sure your bottom one reads ULF ON LINCOLNE.

    As Rob said the second ones Lincoln. The moneyer is ULF or VLF depending on how you read it. We'd need a better image to identify the other one.

    Completely agree. Anything to do with coins has been completely pushed down the ranks of the forum with all this. I am sure there is other websites that cater for this sort of chat. Please draw a line under it.

    No. She hasn't sold anything recently that could get her name up there. I emailed mike the link to the siege piece which he reviewed then added the seller details once he seen the evidence. If you see anything dodgy crop up under her name post it up and I'll pass on the link.

    It takes a while to pick it up. You need a book really to progress with proper identification of short crosses. Over time it becomes second nature if you handle enough of them.

    I can see TAS ON on the reverse so safe to say it's a London mint coin. As for the obverse all I can say is that's it's a coin of Edward 1st , 2nd or 3rd. Sorry I can't be of much more help with it.

    Just remembered. It only had a few hours to run this morning left on it. It's ended without sale i presume.

    Am usually good with these but brockages are a different ball game i am afraid. I think i can make out LEM being the last letters of the moneyers name and ON CANT on the other half so it's definitely a Canterbury coin. At a guess I'd go with Willem at Canterbury which would be a Henry III coin but that is a guess. I've not seen a brockage that bad before.

    Mike Vosper has added the siege piece replica seller to his hall of shame. I thought seeing as he's making a habit of selling them I'd get his details put on the rogues gallery so to speak.
