An NGC MS 65 and PCGS MS 64 for comparison and my best 1920 ungraded florin. If I was given the choice of the PG coins I think the MS 64 is the better coin on the photographs and my one ain't too bad either. I'll be interested to see how much these two coins sell for.

Hiya Paddy. Love the better 1920 transition year shillings, florins and half crowns. Although only pictures, you will see with some frequency the TPGs to give a "technical" grade - that is the level of wear and lustre, etc. giving the grade. The strike IMHO is not valued enough and so I believe this to be the rationale for the higher grade on the first coin. Yours appears to have a wonderful strike with excellent hair & mustache, etc. detail. To be fair the first coin appears a bit overexposed photographically but the details do appear a bit flatter. I was thrilled to some years ago get the specimen proof "duck tailed" 1920 florin and will post a picture later today in case you might be interested.

I am not greatly into this Grading Mularkey but I would say the NGC 65 is way over graded - far too much loss of detail on the bust. I would say the other two are very similar and I would choose your ungraded one over the PCGS 64.

I had an NGC MS65 1920 Florin that was superb and struggle to find a better one.

An unusual note to this is that he actually asked for a set of his own coinage and was refused it by the royal mint (though I am sure the rejust was actually refused by people right at the top ie the prime minister and royal family

And back to the original topic. Today marks the 3rd anniversary of Svitlana landing at Manchester after fleeing Kherson. Time has passed very quickly and I will say it's been a pleasure, with not a single argument arising from her staying with us. Good mannered, clean, we all muck in and I don't think it could have gone better. A few things have happened which were unwelcome, such as her father dying last year, but was unable to get back for the funeral. And this year her mother has finally had enough of the drones and bombing of her village (Bilozirka) not too far from Kherson and gone to live with Svitlana's sister. 3 years on and nothing has changed. The Russians are still lobbing 3 or 4 dozen shells a day into Kherson and drone dropping on anything that moves. They don't want peace. It's Russia. Please Europe, wake up now that Trump has shown his true colours and support Ukraine to the necessary level. We can afford it and Ukraine would make a more reliable friend than the US in the current political climate. Ignoring Trump would not have much of a cost, given his lack of support for the cause, and we can all hope that once he has gone, some sanity will return to US politics, with support for democratic policies and countries. As an astute businessman, he should be embracing Ukraine's offer to purchase a couple of Patriot systems, but his loyalty to Putin and all he stands for has scuppered that one.

Subject to funds, I would suggest you upgrade to UNC and take your time. Looking at a coin a top grade gives so much more pleasure. And there is no reason to have them all in the same grade.
