I thought it would be days before someone gave the right answer.

It is not a c over G or anything like that. It is a clear VIG so possibly pretty rare indeed.

I agree it does not look like a repair, but if not there would have to have been an erroneous puncheon, from which the die was made, and before that an erroneous master, how likely is that?

Is this coin yours? If so, can you get microscope close-ups? (I am assuming that it is not photoshopped)

I'm glad you got a bargain from this seller, he's usually extortionately priced, as this one would have been were it a normal '62.

Well done indeed, get some proper close-ups when it arrives, my own feeling is that it has to be a repair, rather than an error elsewhere in the die production chain, though that may be impossible to prove.

One i have not put up is an 1868 i sent for slabbing.

Well, like to see the picture of the latter. I must say, as apparently do many others, that such claims are rather hollow ("finest known"). I find the 19H is very hard to find well struck and nicely preserved - moreso than the 18H.

I am rather hollow and been looking at your previous posts regardless of MANY others you have picked on the wrong person.

You have so much to say but never see you pass comment on being nice or pleasent just the negatives.

I suggest you smile and start passing comments that have some value or nice,if not you will be looking at the forum with no one posting.

Lots of people read/look at the forum everyday and the few that post make it interesting.
