Matt you state..........nobody likes them......thats your opinion and i take that on board. However lots of people do including dealers and people i speak to on a daily basis. Maybe it is the forum that doesnt and most have never used them, but believe me the users on here who actually post ....is a small number of collectors out there. Peter i can relate to that. I spent almost every day with my grandma for months untill she passed away a few months ago at 102. She was always interested in coins i had bought and used to enjoy showing them her . Although as she said ...pitty you didnt no (such a person)he worked at the bank and always used to keep the best

That so called reputable dealer ....IMO...should be .......i need to chill. Lovely guy who i have just had a chat with....must of been smiling . Its not fair to say if you have a few quid in the bank i will sell you ones that will go up............? The ones he offered me and coin news allowed him to put it in a full page add. The three that were talked about..........i am out of here for this one

Latest one in Manchester is very good for the scum. Quick call ....we will come and have a look. Will you or someone else be in on such a day at such a time..........Robbed Old people amongst others are honest and dont think they will not get caught , no matter how clever you are these scum will get you if they want to. Easy to find an address set up a false meeting and watch you drive from your house to it They will be in as soon as they watch you drive off.

The thing is Rob if you already no you would not be ripped off. Thats why not just this instance but many others allow people to think twice . Pete.

Wasnt me the 1869 but believe it was a nice coin as a mate looked at it but he was interested in it so left alone. Reasonable price compared with IMO some of the others.

The catalogue is hard copy only Matt. A lot of the coins were obviously the plate coins used in the books. The auction catalogue is quite scarce and from memory think i paid about £25 for mine. Christies sale October 1984.

Checked the pictures in the Freeman sale also and definately the same coin.....Thank you
