  1. That explains it thanks Bernie. It confused me as the bronze were buns / lighthouse (so not 1853 ) and the set displayed as 1893 with the silver as mentioned earlier dates.
  2. £10,000.00 on eBay ...........GUY you should of put £8,888.88
  3. Anything between nothing and £250 its impossible to say without a picture .
  4. The proof set in the sheild is 1893 to me ,but happy to be shot down
  5. Yes the 1932 a lot harder and at that grade must be really nice and a good buy
  6. Your not missing anything Jaggy its a nice coin but of a relatively common year and i cant see anything special. I think its more to do with it being MS65RD that seems to fetch a premium and would be suprised if it went for anymore. The price for the English graded one in 85 is £75.
  7. I can understand that as i would be put off also. One slabbing company has looked at SIXTY of them so obviously a problem.
  8. Thats also a lot better as when you bought it the reverse was the worse side HAT OFF
  9. Its not for me to be satisfied more think its OTT . Yes i dont know all the facts ......that was the point i was making. I am sure your freind will not be to upset about a squirell nutkin 50p . You have got your money back ,maybe move on as its all part of the ebay experience Having just looked again the postage was free and for an item worth £2 dont understand why they would send recorded.
  10. This is daft and not a crime or a scam. Someone sells SIX suirrel 50p things and some christmas pudding covers and members of the forum kick off. Hardly crime of the century total of £12 and worth £3 and some feedback from others was ok. How do you know the seller is not on holiday or the coin is not lost in the post. Richard was the follower so had clicked himself ............then removed it also. I hope for the sellers sake the coin turns up and gets an apology as they getting greif on here and i dont think thats fair. I am being as HONEST about this as i can and dont like anyone getting a slating as always two sides to every story. Just because the seller has not replied does not mean they are guilty but could be ill, hospital, holiday. All over a coin for £2.................. The £2 the buyer got back so all ends on a happy note
  11. Looks absolutely RANG TANG . I could just imagine if the wife came home and i had done that. Although it could be worse she could do it with mine
  12. Not a clue 80-78-75 You have my address but can i just have the money instead please
  13. Can anyone recommend any books for varieties of milled silver please. Maybe the groom one or similar i havent got any ?. Not really interested in anything before 1860. Thanks. Pete. _____________________________________________________________________________________________ Posted the above an hour ago and should of spent the time reading old threads first as the question has been asked before
  14. Just looked at the credit card bill from last month when i was in hospital. Glad i was only in five days
  15. I have a mate with a family business that around that time had hundreds of machines. Him and his brother looked through thousands and never found one. Maybe around that time a lot of people were looking for them before they spent them. There is an article in the daily mirror today about a £2 and again probably lots of people are probably checking them. I have not got a £2 coin to look at
  16. Although i am only using CGS prices the standard and proof graded 85 are the same. Not a lot of difference in prices for ones graded below. Although they have graded 4 proofs against 45.
  17. If so it hardly seems worth splitting a set up to sell the £1 ?.
  18. Good site and although not my thing the indicators on the kew gardens i found interesting . Also the swimming 50p and the cards .
  19. I dont think one is going to make a massive dent in getting rid of them Brian
  20. The first one i bought around 2011/12 i paid £90 for from Chard in blackpool . Not long after there were some at a Brock auction for £40 each
  21. 700 Slowly and one at a time ,just hope your young enough as will take ages Can i ask why you have bought so many as i had a few but only kept one. Pete.
  22. The confusion was brought about only by the number not its description . Guy had put 78 instead of 80 thats all
  23. Thanks for the link whitedb and welcome to the forum. I looked on the site the other day but could not find the pennies. Pete.
