  1. Thanks. Now please sit down and chill out
  2. Something i have never tried but think coinery is the best to tell you think if i remember from previous posts there are different types. Better in the first place to buy a coin that does not need touching in my opinion
  3. personally i think its sellers trying to bump up the price and coins get sent to c.g.s. by sellers looking to make a few quid. There is nothing wrong with that but i can assure you it wont always work.I do feel they grade independently and some you win and some you lose .We must remember in my opinion shill bidding happens and some people buy a number. The majority of my coins i have had slabbed i bought raw and although was dissapointed of a few being rejected that was there opinion and what i paid for and allowed me to send the majority back.I have over a hundred pennies slabbed and although probably cost me a couple of grand i am happy You dont have to send or buy them. Pete
  4. That is out of order and just shill bids ,Waste of everyones time

  7. lots of good people will help on this forum ,i only buy pennies .I don t want you to make mistakes that cost you to much money and the best thing is get used to grading and read as much as possible. The british bronze penny 1860-1901 is available on michael gouby site michael coins well worth buying and reading his web site. The bronze coinage by michael freeman is the one main reference more commonly used and i would buy them both study and keep looking on the forum. Pete
  8. Peck. Yes that s what helped me so much and the reason why i asked were he lived .A lot of good dealers but nothing better than meeting them and looking at the coins Also some good dealers on line and auctions, just wanted to no what he was after buying. Pete
  9. Hi hazelman . Were abouts do you live and what coins do you purchase. Pete.
  10. 1887 -78 1927-85 1819-70 Although i am only guessing and slab pennies
  11. Nothing i can see possibly a bit of extra metal, but not anything special, although a good date to look for anything unusual
  12. The post was not meant to offend ,the coin in question is GARBAGE thousands available .It is not scarce and not worth anything more than face value.I am the first to appreciate errors and have a few but that is not one.Keep buying GARBAGE and be lucky coinery.Jordan keep posting and looking for a coin thats unusual
  13. Just feel that if it would of been c.g.s. graded then the price would of been considerably higher.I no most will disagree but why not slab for £25 and attract a bigger market.
  14. Yes your right .The forum is called pre decimal ? The coins are garbage weather its a P or H or K its no interest and rubbish.Sorry but no idea of the imput to PRE DECIMAL FORUM
  15. And the 2 in the date after looking again ?.Not sure about the coin ,but might be me
  16. I looked at that however anyone think that an H looks there?
  17. Interesting to no prax .After having a look on the c.g.s. site i see they have also rejected one ,i wonder why as unable to find out on the site.
  18. Cant see any difference sorry ,although its keeping me awake.Been looking at loads and cant see anything .I will have the monster munch anyway BEEF
  19. Hi can you also send me a pound for using my coin in your pictures the c.g.s. one is mine . Be lucky. Pete.
  20. Hi .Seems normal to me ,what difference do you see ?.
  21. Yes that is the question
  22. Thanks for your reply and gives me something to think about
  23. Your reply makes some sense rob.But surely if they quote verd or corrosion coins will be rejected makes it hard to determine what coins i should send for them to grade.
  24. There is currently a 1882 no H penny on ebay .I was interested until i looked at the pictures and understand its a very low grade.Has anybody any opinion as to why the coin was not rejected ,appears full of verd/corrosion.The uin on c.g.s. is 33327 although the sellers pictures show the verd much clearer. Thanks pete
