Would not be fair to mention a dealer on an open forum the facts are the coins were rejected and my money refunded,as i mentioned although the coins had cost me about £600 and the seller disputed the rejections they were not what i wanted.I am sure they have now been resold and hope the purchaser is happy.The slabbing is my way of having a better knowledge that the collection is what i bought initially.Everyone is different but i will be sending another twenty or so pennies in the next week and only interested in grades of 78 or better.I would not be bothered or dispute a coin of less than £200 the grading is that strict that i check the coin thoroughly myself and then still get a second opinion,some can still be rejected.This means if the dealer is honest i would ask for a refund and hope i have a relationship and understanding that i have not touched or damaged the coin in anyway.

No they were not fakes and if you think it was quite decent of the dealer i cant believe. Would you buy faulty goods from a shop the seller gave me a refund straight away.I was still out of pocket with the grading cost but feel money well spent. Coinery you could not get your head round my coins from colin cooke sent to c.g.s..Is this because you have returned coins to them previously ?.

Nice some positives come from my post.I am really supprised some people look on the negatives,the post was not meant in that way.I was not here to name dealers with bad experiences.I have just sent back another three coins from a reputable dealer ,full refund but rejected by c.g.s.The three coins only cost £600 but although the dealer was fair ,could quite easily just put them in a tray.

Yes after my rant yesterday would like to say colin cooke coins have always been spot on and having slabbed over thirty i have purchased through them,all graded as they were sold to me.

Just been told its hard to make a living.Easy get another job.

Would just like to say and not being an expert. I am sick to death of returning coins that are overgraded. Well known coin dealers sending me coins that are e/f but describing them as unc.Worse still cleaned or junk ,however these dealers still want top price.

Daftest thing i have seen .

One point i feel worth mentioning .Had a couple of coins slabbed recently both graded 85 however do not feel the photographs do the coins justice.Only a slight moan but would think they could do better.

1932 penny on for £900 ,i dont mind slabs but that is ridiculous.

Hi.The information i have been given is that heaton mint produced samples for this year in limited numbers .After talking to numerous people including c.g.s seems to make sense

Hi tom ,must be worth having slabbed.The small cost may give you a better idea.I dont have a clue were you live ,you can drop the coin off at one of the shows and pick it up at a later date to save on the postage.I only buy pennies but can you get verd on silver or any other metal?

Sensible question as i dont have a clue.Can you get verd on anything but copper and bronze ?

Nice coin tom what approx value would that be.Vicky silver the coin you posted does not look the best,is that also an active verd spot?

Hi tom..I dont have a clue about hammered coins and would obviously assume they are all different although they would help maintain any significant provenance if graded.Would agree unless something that you could see was really nice,would not see any benefit. I have bought some pennies and found out the variety was not noted by the dealer.and still feel the price is well worth it.Has bill from c.g.s been making any comments recenttly as he was saying interesting contributions to another grading thread. Hi vicky silver. The c.g.s website allows anyone to look and compare a specific coin.This to me allows an opinion on grading and sometimes realistic future value .Please download a picture of a coin you feel has been overgraded.I started this post for help and maybe i will learn from you. Thanks .

Hi peck firstly the dealer was not someone i had bought off before.The point of the matter is i did not want something that was rejected.This coin may of been cleaned ,verd or scratched.and i was concerned but just asked his honest opinion.My knowledge at the time was not as good as it may be now.

Some of these tokens you purchase brg although i have not got a clue about them are really nice
