  1. Yes mate all was legit ,i didnt do anything until i logged on and then phoned them up. Thanks for your reply Bob. Just an inconvenience. Pete.
  2. Sorry for a couple of forum members should of said Wednesday night.
  3. My experience on Thursday night might be of interest to possibly some sellers on here. I received a payment and automatically my Pay Pal account was suspended. The email then told me due to the payment being over £2500 i would need to contact them. This i did obviously straight away to tell me checks needed to be made for money laundering on my part.........yes daft i know Not a phone call from them as you would get from a bank etc nothing really apart from having to scan proofs of ID and wait for a reply from them. Needless to say its ongoing and cant use Pay Pal at all. Just thought if anyone is interested check with them first if the amount is over £2500 that you might expect to receive. To ensure they dont just suspend you. Pete.
  4. Hat off Prax and a nice coin
  5. Yes its spot on. Can we have a picture of what is inside it Rob......
  6. That looks really nice Gary
  7. Hope they are ones i have
  8. And a big hat off to Chingford who i think found it and researched it originally. He will not mention any until he is sure others exist and my first point of call on any copper questions Sorry Chingford if you now get loads of questions Tricky..... Chingford .....maybe he will disclose some more
  9. So i think Ian is out aswell
  10. Well i am definately out
  11. I dont look anymore since buying a nice one ,but noticed one just sold on ebay
  12. Thank Rob. I wasnt sure after the other opinion on grade.
  13. Sorry meant a bigger difference than two grades ie 70-75-78-80 etc
  14. I would like to know rob as always learning....What would you grade the coin mentioned please ?.
  15. Rob your far from dense and i appreciate your knowledge and learning from you. What he has said is ........... Subject to what Mynki relays ....... i will have a quick look ..... something he did not have to do. Without looking properley 78 - 80......... ?. If one grader and i am sure you know all three says 70 then unless a bigger difference than ten the lowest grade is attributed. It was not Paul.............Think ( grader ) he meant on a good day (best for Mynki) thats what he might get. I have submitted a lot of coins and one grader will be different than another.....thats why you get three opinions. Its no different than on here ,they look at two hundred + coins a week they are never all going to say E.G. 75 But unless a big difference (more than ten) they will confer and give reasons why the coin may be attributed higher.
  16. This one and numerous others not mentioned in anything Jerry. A couple of people on the forum Chingford and Alfnail have helped me so much over the last twelve months would like to say thank you. Pete.
  17. Not much happening on here. I recently bought a 1858 ,it came from Heritage and a variety i was made aware of about twelve months ago. Although a lot dont really look at coppers i am now really keen on all the varieties. Just been talking to Matt who thought it was worth sharing a picture. Its the 1858 with the F over B in DEF. I Have spent the last twelve months looking at every 1858 (well almost ) on ebay and found three. Pete.
  18. Dont really understand the reason for the post then If you thought it was less should of bought it and give it him. Sounds a good earner
  19. Really interested as most on here are not CGS............ Boooooooooooooooooo Anyway he is a nice guy that looked at your coin and gave you his opinion. What did he say ?.
  20. That was a good spot Bob
  21. What does a scrap sovereign sell for at the moment Mynki ?.
  22. Hi paulus i have a spare 1891 CGS 32567 graded 75 would sell for £70 including postage. Although i may say it myself its nicer than the picture(as you no some are not the best). Not a problem if no use let me no if you would prefer another date. Pete.
  23. Dont worry about me Ian always chilled .....well not always Is that yours ,has that been added ?.
  24. More importantly are these coins now being shown as conserved when people are selling them. I have bought a few graded as rejects really cheaply , but feel more often they are broken out and resold as being ok.
