  1. Well the £10 coin nearly fetched £200.00 , words fail me......................
  2. Not a medalion thats collectable IMHO . Get it melted
  3. IMO coin looks slightly strange , looks like the dirt stoped wear and now the coin shows most wear in the centre where the dirt never protected it , a shame really your cleaning HAS improved the coin but only put its sellability up slightly , great experience though i hope for you . At least it looks like a silver coin again by the way .
  4. Scott don't tell me you have a collection of 1851 D over D farthings, please , to my mind this is the rarest victorian variety bar the 1860 copper or any proofs obviously
  5. I see the coin is now up to £195 , in the past I have sold similar coins for around a £10 note , bloody anoying when its not your coin thats going for a silly price isn't it ? LOL
  6. eBay item number: 282203635410 Seller assumes all responsibility for this listing. Anyone know why this coin has reached the dizzy hights of £175 please? Its still got three days to go as well The only reason would I think be if its a D over D , but I cannot see it from the scan
  7. obviously the mint is as full of numpties as the general population of the uk - no surprise there then
  8. I can never understand why whitman have never repeated their uk folders - its been years since they retailed at 25p in the mid to late sixties. I am sure there would be a new market now

  16. “Fashion is a form of ugliness so intolerable that we have to alter it every six months.” ― Oscar Wilde tags: fashion
  17. This coin recieved a perfect storm to make it a collectors item. Zero publicity from the press , little interest from the public and the tv program that was the reason for its birth taking a massive dive in popularity. June price £20 July price £30 August price £35. WATCH THIS SPACE
  18. Yes september can be a great month for a week off and this week has proved it - if anything its been too hot. Try and get out see a few of the local historic sites as well , norfolk has a long and interesting history . While Mrs peter is not around anymore it does not do any good to just look to the past , I agree a dog can be great comfort and help in the grief process
