  4. Must be honest I never really liked ozzy and was pleased when he deserted the uk for his endless USA tours , I feel much more sorry for poor old Phil collins who now is in a really bad way, a typical englishman who never upset anyone and entertained everyone While everyone likes a bit of "crazy", Phil made a career out of being the good guy and was a consummate musician Ozzy admitted himself he was very sorry for the baggage he left behind , Philips wives or some of them at least have been blood sucking vampires maybe they should have been Ozzy's exes if the truth be told.
  5. That's all that most folks have so your not alone
  6. Look what I found in a rummage bin in york this friday. I am well off a full set but its a start . sorry about the poor scan folks
  7. The manchester evening news pointed to residents and tried to point to them running blindly into a living hell provided by oasis fans ie weeing in front gardens and using front gardens as an open sewer. I might have known reality was a lot better , I have always found prestwich and the nearby whitefield where i lived for many years quiet and happy places , my grandparents also loved prestwich after living on carisbrooke avenue for over 30 years .Nice to know this was all paper talk
  8. Anyone take a sh!t on your front lawn going home ?
  9. looks like tower mm
  10. Ironically many of the smaller coins ie groat down are much nice coins to own from the tudor and stuart periods
  11. Just shows what ugly things most hammered coins are really sigh
  12. Look rather crude to me there are various contemp copies out there , they are very common. As they were not worth much they were often just thrown away , loads ended up in the thames as well pretty sure its a richmond issue
  13. the trouble with 1971 is that around 17 million of the blue wallets were sold so the will not ever be rare
  14. surely the post would be treble what the coins are worth , and by the way they are cents
  15. Low estimates prob please sellers they can be pointed too as proof how good the auctioneer is
  16. 1797 pennies seem to have many countermarks
  17. The key is the wear on Victoria's hair looks at least EF to me
  18. Most coins at this time circulated at their melt value along with any remaining copper/ bronze left over from when the romans left . They probably circulated till melted down for other uses about the year 700 or so or untill decent quality silver pennies appeared
  19. The patchy tone is deff not a plus could wipe £50 off the price easy
  20. well I had been after a really nice one for ages and it came up on the bay for a half reasonable price so i treated myself The two rarest coins in the copper / bronze victorian period are in my opinion 1851 d over sideways d and 1862 fat 8 this ties with freeman 530 as well for rarity. I have a fat 8 but it only grades good fine
  21. Heres my 1852 farthing it's that nice i suspect it will never be upgraded
