  4. I remember the last e/r I had in my collection I picked up in brum it was in around fine-good fine grade and cost me £6 , I got it off a shouldhavegonetospecsavers dealer who never noticed it and I sold it a couple of years later for £32 on the bay it was very popular . I think the coin pictured is worth at least £100 pos £125 or so , still a great buy. Would grade as GVF with the ek getting a mention as well. Poss you could grade VGVF though thats debateable

  14. Edward Vii was about twenty five years old in 1866 , how come they knew what he looked like 35 years later when he was not even king yet. I think queen victoria might have objected to him being called king and emperor of india even in a caretaker roll
  15. Head chopped off , I presume
  16. Hate the EK at 12 oclock on the obverse , still I think its a keeper
  17. John always smoked those little cigars the ones that lasted about 10 minutes and sold for a couple of pounds in a five pack (and remember 1980's prices)
  18. I wonder if this was one of the last lists before he moved to the states to work for a gradeing house the "sale " would be a sensable thing to get in a few bob before the move. I thing if hes still alive he would be around 90-95 years old now
  19. Funny thing is I have a couple of old lists and some prices of coins he sold are cheaper now than when he sold them 40 years ago - they really were a dreadfull "Investment" not in all cases obviously one of the worst performers is a 1895 YH farthing in general the older and rarer the better the investment they were.
  20. Don't hope for much from any carboots sale I just find pocket holiday change .
