Good to hear from you John. I worked on the Chingford Underbridge site in the early 90's...we had an Amstrad pooter monitoring the tunnel which held the leccies/telephone system. Our pooter never worked but disappeared....all those games of golf with the RE(resident engineer)....11 0'clock was golf time. Easy account to settle.

In the early 80's me and 9 other English lads had the run of Taymouth Castle (rich pals ehh ) We partied hard...fished the Tay and generally ladded. Apparently I nearly shot the gillie whilst staggering down to the Tay with a bottle of speyside in one hand and a gun in the other....he wanted to call the polleece...after a few nips he was fine. When you get a castle in your early 20's the world is your lobster We had some German tourists who wanted to see the castle....We introduced them to the PEENES of the castle who had a toilet roll on his belt...good memories.

I can remember my student years when the current Mrs Peter and myself dined out on poppadoms curry and keema nan for less than £10. We recently went back and it cost £60.

Proof coins generally remain in collectors hands and are readily available when we pop our cloggs..sad but true. My teenage daughters have an interest in my coins and cataloging ....they do know a few farthing varieties
