  1. Part of the attraction is tracking down coins for a good price. OK I have over paid sometimes but they were must haves.
  2. Looks like a cast copy. Probably bought from a museum shop for £1.

    Coin Fair

I think the best fair is at the NEC bike museum. 12 fairs per year and a biggie every 3 months. We usually stay in Coventry in a decent hotel with a pool. A meal the night before and a good breakfast plus I'm back by 3pm and home by 6ish. I wish I was still single We all love our wives and daughters...don't we

    Coin Fair

Dealers are generally brilliant. Always talk there is a lot to learn. Enjoy the fair and do a couple of circuits. See what is about.I do love coin fairs.
  5. Dave Take the foot off the loud peddle and reduce the BP. I have a springer on my feet and a feral cat who likes to sleep on the back of my chair(half on my head) Both snore...and maybe I do too.
  6. I started off with date runs. I've achieved it but now go for types. It is a bit like only liking blonds...I like all women....well most. I do need a bite of intelligence and civil behaviour...and a cheeky grin.
  7. I have Goddards silver dip, acetone and verdi care. Just don't over do it. Cotton buds and distilled water can help you on the way.
  8. Plus my daughters thought dinner was included....and commission Yep mugged again...but hey that is life
  9. I did one a few years back £300 for a lot of effort. It will not happen again
  10. My eldest daughter and my wife have 8 and after a while they are both happy with it. I'm still on 7. Bite the bullet and go for 8
  11. It is good to see Chris posting again BTW how do I get a Taxi into my motorbike? I think Chris found the magic mushroom field in Germany.
  12. I'm 10 this year in December and I don't think Rob is far off.
  13. I rarely look at my modern coins so they will all go. If you buy a coin and sift it away what is the point?
  14. LOL She always seems to be on her cycle.
  15. I got caught doing 120mph on a duel carriage way after following numerous caravans on a trip to Cornwall.(The duel carriageway was about 2 miles and I floored it) The unmarked police car stopped me and gave me a ticking off. I have slowed down and reduced my BP. My thanks still go out as I'm now a calmer driver. BTW I commuted to London for about 20 years (190 mile round trip) and have been accident and conviction free. Mrs Peter still drives too fast...I think I will have to put something in her tea.
  16. On our Honeymoon Mrs Peter still has a picture of me coming out of the Indian Ocean with a six pack. I can still be seen with a six pack walking out of tesco's
  17. We do have our experts from farthings to Crowns.I won't mention names because we all chip in. I have learnt a load. Bloody pennies.
  18. On another forum they go around in circles and run out of topics (coinpeople) Predecimal is the best...Topic getting a motorbike into a taxi. Plus the knowledge here is SIMPLY THE BEST. Chris I hope we put business your way. You are a star.
  19. Panama coins or Puffin coins get snapped up. Rarity doesn't come into it....sometimes.
  20. As bad as some of the Olympic 50p's What is wrong with a good Britannia?
  21. Sam Fox is old as Peck and a carpet muncher.
  22. I always fancied a dolly sprint. I also knew a chap who had a standard 1850 with overdrive.A nice car
  23. Should that be wrongly ? Or are you a Northerner?
  24. I like the design but need the date in the exurge under Britannia. Queenie must be getting on a bit. Maybe we need a veiled Queen. Can't see the Duke lasting long.
  25. There are certain coins in my collection that I couldn't ever sell.If you contemplate get rid of and take profit and buy something that you can't part with.
