  1. Don't take Robs humblings. I've never met him but kinda respect him. I gave him a 1963 1/2d Only 49 left. Rob is a night hawk like my self.....well Scott....a treasure to the forum.
  2. T DOG I doth my cap for the hours you put in.
  3. Unbelievable. I'm sure my raw 1932 is as nice and worth £15 to £20.
  4. I will buy to sell but I'm not a dealer but I can't refuse a bargain I'm selling mainly to trim down my collection to a reasonable size. Previously I was getting my daughters involved in the process so they could have a few things using my paypal. I've recently bought some great copper from my favorite US dealer. All duplicates but should earn a few £,000.
  5. They will make what they can and grade as they like. Grading is subjective and if I picked up a bargain I'm not obliged to pass on my good luck. I have 2 ebay accounts one mainly for buying and one mainly for selling. I'm in a good mood...now!!!! tonight because a while back Mrs Peter reversed her car into a wall and broke the rear passenger lens. Hyundai wanted £350+ for a new unit. The cheapest I could get a lens from the breakers was £110 + delivery. I've just bought a 2nd hand (unused unit) for £75 delivered. I should be able to get her running around me for a few days. My MG also got 100% at the MOT test

    Hi all

Hi Chris Welcome. My coins relax me and I find the learning part rewarding. If you want to dabble in hammered I would suggest you purchase a book "Englands Striking History" to whet your appetite. £7 or £8 from this site or amazon.
  7. Typical Stewie Not only has the longest rowing boat But also three day birthdays. I hope you and your harem have a great day.
  8. I only kept 1 sov back when gold hit silly money.I took the profit (up to 500% in a few years) I kept my guineas. Copper and bronze sovs are my 1st choice (farthings use the same dies) Welcome to the forum.
  9. Happy birthday barnacle bill.We all have crystal balls
  10. As long as you don't price them at more than face.
  11. Typical Rangers / Celtic riots in St Georges Square. The yes vote had been having it large for the last few days. A member from my coin forum was abused by that mob because he refused one of their leaflets & he was with his wife and kids. He is as Scottish as they come but also British Over 300 years of the Union must not be thrown away. We have 3 cars live in a village and can get about. Our bus service has been shredded over the last few years so some of the poorer (mainly old can't get about) Vote yes for an independent East Anglia.
  12. Apparently toys have been seen raining down on Berwick on Tweed.
  13. I can direct you to Colin cookes site where he has a section called collections. Look at Dr Basil Nicholsons Collection of half pennies.
  14. I've treated a few 1937 crowns which have isolated staining. Never a full dip.
  15. Some collectors relish proofs.I do have a few but my penchant is currency. You've dipped your toe.
  16. I forgot about until noon.The couldn't get on.
  17. Doesn't seem a price. Nice coin. You can see what the hammer price at London coins. Then you have to pay juice.
  18. The 1st one looks too clean.
  19. This beauty is on sale from one of our forum members. http://www.pennycrowncoins.co.uk/shopping/pgm-more_information.php?id=2065&=SID
  20. I didn't realise you were 90 something!! Sometimes I feel it at 3:35am...all hell broke loose because our springer has perfected opening doors and followed by the cat and kitten straight on the bed.Mrs Peter blamed me.My darling daughters thought it was cold and put the heating on.bah humbug.I do like a sloppy kiss is bed and pussey but not at 3:30am.
  21. You will have to pay import duties soon.
  22. I like truhpenny bits. I collect because i can. At the grand old age of 50 something my sister bought me a 1914 shilling 40 years ago.As a butchers boy next to a coin shop my Saturday wages went quickly I was allowed to lock up and was allowed to take a Sunday roast home. Even better if I slipped 2lbs sausages into my donkey jacket i had made the buggers at 6am.
  23. I saw a load of bands and found my 1st love at a gig in Cambridge. The Ramones was the loudest blast ever and the corn exchange was like one big toilet. I have a tear in my eye. My ears still shudder to this day.
  24. John Peel and my trusty radio cassette. I also went to the local record shop and always bought the 12" singles. I was a coin collecting punk.(16 years old in 77)
  25. Don't forget us farthing boys. I would send everything else to the pot.
