  1. Looking forward to completion of George 111. Thrash competition with the detail Chris. Shouldn't be too difficult.
  2. I must resist. Getting a decent portrait on an E1 is hard enough.
  3. That would make a great pocket piece.
  4. Mrs Peter took the girls to see the car and of course they wanted different ones. Will have to be sorted on Saturday.
  5. My MG insurance is surprising low (full no claims and an old git)It is my bodywork I worry about.
  6. My eldest daughter looks like taking her car test soon and my youngest has asked for lessons. I've seen the Renault at a local dealer and I want to surprise them. Good points are a safe car,£30 tax and average 65mpg (low mileage 41k)full service history, group 3 insurance. Fully equipped with goodies. Has anyone had nightmares with these cars? We've already got L plates on my wife's coupe and they have hinted they would like to on my MG's insurance. We live out in the sticks and both are embarking on course's locally. I really need to get them married off to rich farmers.
  7. I've had a couple of looks but doubt has been put in my mind(it is awful and i wouldn't every like it)

  12. Have you tried a search on google images?
  13. Amazing hoard (I wish I had a spare £9.5 kicking around.)
  14. The forum is good for alerting fakes and scum who import the Shang Hi silver. Look at the Alibah bah site .
  15. As I said a lot of deals were done for fish on the beaches around our coast. If you can id landing points you could get lucky.Nothing better than beach combing on a fine winter day and ending up in the pub.
  16. Wait to see some of Paulus's coins OK they are not copper but rather tempting.
  17. Imagine what is worth when lost. We holiday in North Norfolk with our Springer. Apparently lots of deals were done on the beaches...ie coins I have found fossils and amber but no groats (a few coins) I get up early and bring back hot bread for early risers...usually me. I get hot crabs but don't tell Mrs Peter. She likes the Rock(Peter)
  18. Wish he was back.....I thought I was I was a bit of a nutter.(I believe Rob met him) I will always read certain posts...even US posters Bob,Vicky and Brandon....In fact I'm a tart and like you all
  19. I'm sitting here with a warm glow. I'm working on my varieties (thanks Colin) I can enjoy my hobby without Robs big busters, I did send the Robster a 1963 1/2d.....only 49 left.I never charged the bugger.
  20. Brandon You must be spending all your pension
  21. Trouble is Heritage are too expensive 99.99% of the time.
  22. There is a clear difference between the polished and "normal" finish. It is a mule as there was an unintentional mix up of dies. Rather than prolong an argument.I'm putting my head in the sand and this is the last I shall comment on the subject.
  23. Nice Brandon I like the idea of a Civil War token. How do you record or store your tokens?
  24. I agree Gary. Unintentional die pairing.
  25. Excellent strike.
