  1. I would chance my luck for a bit more.LC have only had 1 a year since 2007, Let the market decide.
  2. Thanks Chris Top quality and rare coins have been flying. The last couple of DNW auctions had their estimates smashed.and yet Baldwins didn't sell a lot of lesser stuff. I often do google searches on particular coins and you will be shocked how the high end stuff has increased.
  3. Looks French (Lion of St Peter reverse) ?
  4. Peck Look what they have been going for at London coins. The market has rocketed since 2007/8
  5. The Newark was used for shove-ninepence by Charlie himself
  6. I w0uld try ebay initially. Maybe £4.2k- BIN £4.5k and see if you get a bite. Pity about the obverse scratches. As you know it is a R3. At the end of the day it is your decision..
  7. I never know with your sense of humour Peter. £3.6k for the William I penny... Nice score Geordie was the blue tack extra. I must have 10 Bury mint ED 1,2 & 3 and I'm still not happy You are right quality costs Over £4k for the William I cannot justify (I have a Lotus Elan on my shopping list to put in the garage with my MG)
  8. Damian That is a fantastic coin. £3.6 + juice for an Ed1 London WOW

In the past we often used to go for long walks on a Sunday armed with my SLR. I would shoot 36 photographs and post them to bonus photo or the like...it was quite cheap and exiting awaiting the developed pictures.

  11. Has anyone opted out of the global shipping plan?
  12. On the face of the jetton you can see it smacks of a French Jetton probably 15C
  13. I'm not bothered with as struck hammered. I go for eye appeal every time. I like nice round coins with as few flat spots as possible I also like to ID them, even cut pennies. Keeps me off the streets.
  14. I cannot remember the last time I looked at my Liz 11 half crowns.

I used my Praktica on safari in Kenya and the following year on touring the West Coast of USA. We went to USA with friends who used a top of the range Cannon SLR....guess who produced the best pictures

  18. Liz 11 coins don't float my boat...OK a 1954 1d might. In my dealer hat on period I bought 40 1959 Scottish shillings. My attempt at selling them on Ebay was a disaster. I recall Declan got one for 99p.
