1. Very true. Winchester is fairly common and, as Rob says, I really do not like the texture/patina it has. A nice coin, nonetheless.
2. Difficult to confirm because you no longer have the coin, but on the bottom example are we looking at a recut G2 reverse die with a recut 2 over a 9 or possibly an underlying 1 for 1761 where the die wasn't used? Debbie and Peter - thanks. I must try to remember ebay and the piles of shite found thereon. I'm afraid I have virtually blanked it for the past few years. Interesting point. I always suspected a 1 but, as you say, a 9 is more likely.
3. Hopefully. You might want to pick it up before Peter pilfers it from the delivery office to replace one of his lost'uns.
4. Here are mine, which I no longer own.
5.
The images have also been doctored to blur away the surface marks. Mind you, anything can happen after a good plow (whatever that might be).

It Appears to have gone It went this morning, thankfully. Are you on your iPhone, Dave? It all seems to be garbled in your quotes...
6. It's York Class C. Mullet to left of crown and broken annulet to the right. Spink 1785. Speaking of Spink, has the postman brought anything nice yet?
7. "An old hammered silver crown in fair condition. Elizabeth 1st The coin is genuine, There is a field near where I live that one does not need a metal detector because when you walk the field after plowing it gives up coins in abundance from every age, from pre Roman up till the Victorian era. Ocaisionaly one can find gold coins also. Nobles and sovereigns but not many. The most common are the victorian especialy the old pennies. Obviously I keep the location a secret." http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/-/151043799744?roken=CoOqlQ Interesting, then, that the same images appear here: http://bryantcoins.com/styled/styled-73/index.html
8. It certainly looks like Henry V. It's a York penny and it's got an annulet by the crown, suggesting Class D. Any chance of an obverse image taken with your camera?
9. A warm welcome to you, pennywise!
10. But if you do go you feel as if you're at a village fair!
11. That's the wrong address. Try http://www.stjauctions.com/
12. Checkout my reply on my forum, Richard. Looks like a half real but your diameter and weight are lower than would be expected.
13. Nice buy, Peter! I don't think so. Just very elaborate lettering giving it an odd appearance.
14. I agree, it does! Have you got the hub in hand?
15. Yes, I've been following these. The rust on some of them has led to the loss of much detail. There has also been some controversy surrounding their origin and the specific return policy on them. A more detailed topic on these 'hubs' can be read here.
16. Thankfully I don't think Jimmy made the BoE short-list. Unfortunately Beckham did... http://www.bankofengland.co.uk/banknotes/Documents/about/banknote_names.pdf
17. The BoE have confirmed that Churchill will feature on a new £5 note. Hopefully it won't become the new Churchill crown... http://t.co/Y7fRKjkiqv
18. Missing out on a corker, Stuart! Yes, I do find some of the conversations with some eBayers most amusing. I especially like the varying responses when notifying someone of a fake. It makes for a good indicator of character...
19. I'm assuming that you're the winning bidder, Stuart?
20. Send me an email in April and I'll see what I can do. I didn't get me an email! Send me an email with your address and I'll get one out to you, it'll only cost you postage.
21. You make my childhood weekends of shotguns, mucking around on tractors and breaking my neck sound tame!!
22. Collecting on the move.
23. Nope. Only Drawing Pin Daily and The Sellotape Standard.
24. What do you take me for? Of course not!
