  1. Nice buy, Peter! I don't think so. Just very elaborate lettering giving it an odd appearance.
  2. I agree, it does! Have you got the hub in hand?
  3. Yes, I've been following these. The rust on some of them has led to the loss of much detail. There has also been some controversy surrounding their origin and the specific return policy on them. A more detailed topic on these 'hubs' can be read here.
  4. Thankfully I don't think Jimmy made the BoE short-list. Unfortunately Beckham did... http://www.bankofengland.co.uk/banknotes/Documents/about/banknote_names.pdf
  5. The BoE have confirmed that Churchill will feature on a new £5 note. Hopefully it won't become the new Churchill crown... http://t.co/Y7fRKjkiqv
  6. Missing out on a corker, Stuart! Yes, I do find some of the conversations with some eBayers most amusing. I especially like the varying responses when notifying someone of a fake. It makes for a good indicator of character...
  7. I'm assuming that you're the winning bidder, Stuart?
  8. Send me an email in April and I'll see what I can do. I didn't get me an email! Send me an email with your address and I'll get one out to you, it'll only cost you postage.
  9. You make my childhood weekends of shotguns, mucking around on tractors and breaking my neck sound tame!!
  10. Collecting on the move.
  11. Nope. Only Drawing Pin Daily and The Sellotape Standard.
  12. What do you take me for? Of course not!
  13. DNA recovered from blood traces contaminating the artefact have led archaelogists to believe that this is indeed the long-lost nail thought to have passed through the left wrist of Jesus at the crucifixion. Engineers are now assisting archaeologist as the Angel of the North is lowered to the ground, as the search continues in the foundations for the casket, which is believed to hold two other nails and a man's skeleton. This is Jack Frost, BBC News, Washington!

  15. John, Here. Regards, Clive.
  16. I believe that was Peckris's intention. Misleading us poor coinies with an article about other such tricks.
  17. Sorry, Stuart. I took this to be an April Fools' prank, as I thought you were on your iPhone.
  18. Glad to see he's followed the rule we try to abide by: "This coin has not been cleaned."
  19. You just wait until you get the wine ones! Personally, I prefer to drink mine rather than look at pictures.
  20. I thought you were going to say you got this from Warwick & Warwick!
  21. Bought in bulk from Austria: http://myworld.ebay.co.uk/oldtimermonger/
  22. I don't bother bidding at all unless I'm in London. The software is totally flawed. Sigh.
  23. 'Medieval' coin.
  24. Send me an email in April and I'll see what I can do.
