  1. Just when you think it's safe ... Why not ask for some coins up front or an "administration fee" so that you can "release the funds" to his account. Say ooh, about a grand. No harm in trying to scam the scammers, I say!
  2. Thats just my crap webcam I really should do some better pictures, too many sitting in boxes without a decent photo to their name, but then .. too much to do and not enough time to enjoy a pastime.
  3. I didn't know there was an R/E for 1887?
  4. In a similar vein though I picked up this VictoR/Bia last week. Apologies for the crap photos, its time to go for a beer so no full camera pics until later
  5. I tend to need things not quite that subtle
  6. The Battle of Britain 50p has no denomination when in the RM packs, surely that should also be listed as a mule of dubious intention?
  7. No, that was yesterday. Paddington Bear 50p's are the new hype.
  8. I couldn't agree more Paddy, and the constant daytime TV ads designed to get frail minded pensioners to "invest" should be investigated too. Some of the small print is not on screen long enough to focus on, let alone read, and at no point do they explain that while you may get a "gold coin" it's value is vastly less than that of the sum you are paying for a "limited edition 'commemorative' coin". Worthless POS would be more accurate.
  9. Personally I find transfers/paint/artificial colour on coins really really hateful. I'd buy these literally for any profit margin to be had short term from the interweb hype.
  10. I paid more for some. Like any coin, it's always nicer to have a really good one rather than a crappy one for face value. I only have archery left to get rid of as currency. I have an Athletics BU in mint pack to go too though.
  11. I wouldn't expect much of an answer, mine was a fair question but it didn't go well.
  12. She doesn't look too bad considering her ordeal
  13. I guess that answered the missing coins question then
  14. 1972 - One set, Type A, no frosting 1974 - One Set, Type A no frosting 1975 - One set, Type A no frosting
  15. I'm not the only one who had a wry smile about the 666 then
  16. A pipe is a hollow bar, and a very short piece of bar is a flat disc, and a disc between some dies makes a coin.... Where do you want to go with this ?
  17. 1935 Crowns now.. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1935-British-George-6-World-Crown-Knight-Commemorative-Silver-Coins-Nice/152906116841?hash=item2399ea2ee9:g:ZpcAAOSws6ZZ5sm4
  18. Wickes of course, where I get my best washers
  19. OK I can take a hint, I'll only buy my pennies from @PWA 1967 or if they actually have *some* detail on them
  20. Oh... macbook / apple. Eww. TextClipping also copies all sorts of formatting info I believe, so I'm still with the image/screenshot solution.
  21. For clairty, I mean the one on ebay. The pcgs one, well .. I dream of those one day. Maybe.
  22. And a side bet on which one will have a very limited mintage.... I'll go for L, no-one can find that bugger
  23. They seem to have got it all wrong, the bottom half of the bust is wrong for the head. Looks like an 1885 Lower bust with an 1847 head combo.
