  1. In the bottom of the email there is a link to your unsubscribe prefs. It's cleverly not very large and very poorly identified, but should take you directly to your options.
  2. I bought some 15mm coin holders very recently, search for Hartberger instead of lighthouse - these are 2x2 self adhesive.
  3. Looks like a standard one to me too! The trouble with them is they're a bit of a mare to photograph to capture differences in finish, but a quick search on ebay will show you a couple of thousand similar ones. Tracking down images of actual "satin" ones leads to only about 3 examples. I have one which looks remarkably different from every other one out there, and the jury is still out on that - here are a couple of pics for reference or what is "normal" and what is ... well, undecided. Left = "normal"
  4. Thanks Mike, I hope I do - I might even end up with a 2018 Isaac Newton 50p if I'm lucky (As I don't think they'll let me do a 1935 VIP Rockinghorse lol) Not sure when they'lll stop the strike-your-own Isaac's, "limited time" isn't very clear.
  5. Thanks for the heads-up. I'm booked for a visit there in a couple of weeks
  6. But it's as convincing as mine isn't!
  7. I think something is missing from that one ?.... lol
  8. My 1816 looks just fine (apart from something going on with the I of Honi, but probably just impact damage from previously poor storage)
  9. Lucky escape I reckon
  10. That seller has put a few really nice ones on recently. I want a nice '88, but not this week
  11. I've just been through the jar by my bed, all my change since back in July. Nothing with a 2017 date except for £1 coins. Will have to hunt a full set down, as that 88p should be far rarer than any Kew
  12. Awesome, thanks, lookls like I might be getting the hang of this
  13. Thanks Mike, much appreciated. This one is on Ebay for £20 if anyone is interested (It's Not mine, I just wanted to see if I could work out what it was.. practice makes perfect!, although it may not be a terrible price looking at previous LCA sales)
  14. Here's Vicky! I think she's Obv 9. (1881 Mr T) - So I'm thinking F102 at this point.
  15. I think this is a J, because : Shield is not heraldic, Britannia is a hulk, LH lacks detail and Leg shows, plus deep exergue. Ready to be corrected (apologies, managed to only get most of the coin, but at least it was all the bits mentioned in Freeman)
  16. only 1000 sets .. could be interesting, no idea what demand for those sets is, so I guess you'd have to be prepared for the long run with that one.
  17. Thats the 1898 I was talkinng about, Keep the first one, sling the second one, Love the 3rd one (which I'd be hapy to own )
  18. I'll need to sell some more junk first -
  19. I'd be most happy with the 1898, but then my standards haven't risen quite to the dizzy heights of everyone elses (yet..)
  20. While it's occasionally fun to jest, in all seriousness, how much would a coin in that state actually fetch if it did turn out to be a rare one? My commmon sense screams "but who on earth would want such a thing?" .. and my OCD side screams back "Whatever it takes to fill that damn gap"... Am I Conflicted much?
  21. I watch with anticipation .. like because, just how? I have some better than that I couldn't possibly dream of getting close on (except maybe with xrays or time travel).
  22. Given the mintage of what was it 7 or 8 known examples, if you had one and you knew it had a decent history, 30 seconds on google should have you running directly for a) the royal mint or 2) a reputable coindealer or III) a prominent Coin Aution house. You wouldn't flog it off to someone who seems unable to speak english for a few quid, surely?
  23. Trouble is Thazz, even if you set up a website or a page or stickies explaining this, none of these people would believe it and would still come and post silly questions. I mean, if a pretty 50p with a mintage of 8million+ can be rare, and OFFERED for sale at £5k+ why shouldn't every other coin in history.
  24. Agreed Colin, but on closer inspection of Zoo's images above, it seems like there is some difference which isn't light related. I used my best crayon skills to highlight a couple of areas Lighthouse, rocks and Ship standard are a few of teh more obvious, so I chopped down the image to a more presentable size.
