  1. Or the "Sold" listings .. as these are the ones which are definately a done deal.
  2. Could be a sovereign .. or a farthing. I guess pics / colour / size would all be useful, as well as maybe a description of the reverse.
  3. It's by far the smartest case I've seen for the 51's
  4. Nick, you're 100% correct. I've spent all afternooon looking at shillings, and this sixpence has come up in my search results, and I've gone and got the hump with an innocent coin! Apologies all. normal service will now be resumed.
  5. MS65 example https://images.pcgs.com/TrueView/33147145_Large.jpg There are many many more, I found nearly every one to be "mostly accurate" lines of dots, and the new shiny looking ones on ebay going for 9.99+ BIN all seem to be the acne version. What started me thinking about it is that J.E.B on trunc JH 1887's should not be the "norm" and I certainly wouldn't expect them to be the predominent variety availabe having GEF or better.
  6. Oh, I think she puts up with me admirably I'd hate to have to train another one, I haven't the patience anymore.
  7. It has awful acne. the dots (device?) in the background of the upper right quadrant of the shield are not uniform. They should be considerably less jumbled. example from somewhere...
  8. 1887 Sixpences... the new easy tenner?
  9. Wifey said that iff I go, I can't take my wallet. Or my house keys.
  10. It's missing a couple by the looks of it, heres one to compare. https://www.the-saleroom.com/en-gb/auction-catalogues/canterbury-auction-galleries/catalogue-id-srcan10022/lot-ed76c71f-8620-4886-87f1-a5d800d66850
  11. And one bidder with a feedback of 2 pushing the bid all the way....
  12. I wouldn't be happy about the double forehead - poor lass looks like she's been axe murdered. Given that all the rest are average, this one looks way too good to be in the group and would normally (if real) be sold seperately. When viewing the images above at max size, try pressing CTRL and + (or - to shrink) - this is browser zoom control. It doesn't seem to help much, but if you have a decent resolution large screen it might.
  13. The left one has had some retouching, I'd suggest that a cloning-tool mishap created the upper PM, and in the left image there is a circle from a softening or blur tool between the head and the C, also some larger scratches are not visible in the left, but the damage to the rim seems consistent.
  14. This is the biggest image available for the listing (it's not mine btw)... Hopefully it will expand to full size when clicked on. (should then give you a + cursor to click it again to get the largest size) clicky clicky reverses
  15. Sorry, that was my attempt at humour. i'm not very good at it.
  16. A new variety ? https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/High-Grade-1887-Sixpence-Jubilee-Head-925-Silver-Coin-British-Victoria-Six-Pence/263339292053?hash=item3d503eb595:g:SfsAAOSwZlZaFJtz 1887 Small Jubilee head 6d.
  17. Oh trust me, these have been in a dry box for *years*.... just trying to sort through all 6 coin cases + all the drawers and folders to get it all organised at long last I seriously didn't realise I had such a "problem" lol.
  18. Didn't think to check Hartberger, but their 15mm is nearer the mark!
  19. I have an Eddie farthing, what is the best thing to store it in - Lighthouse 17.5 is a bit big really, but more than that, what is the best way to store hammies in general. I have a few I haven't sold (yet) and want to keep them in something appropriate. Cheers!
  20. In that case my original post stands. I've never seen a blue box for this crown
  21. Sorry - crossed wires. I know about the blue "set" but for some reason got it into my head there was a blue box like the green and red/burgundy ones.
  22. Well done for asking, if you feel the need to torment them some more, why not also enquire about the 1951 + box colours - does Blue actually exist, and the 1965 Churchill satin finish Should give someone in the RM at least a minor migraine!
  23. If you tried with an image, and then tried to add a smaller image, the forum would remember and not let you. Try replying with the smaller image (Oh and Hi and welcome !)
  24. Mostly pretty worthless even if not 'burial green' these days as so many have been found.
