  1. I'm just rummaging through a large pile of foreign from a charity shop and got to the end with this left in the wtfit heap. For your pleasure - one Brian May 1993 "Back to the Light" tour guitar pick. I guess I will get my tenner back today
  2. Nasty finger dislocation too, looks painful
  3. Well played, Paddy
  4. What a cracking find! I bet you'll be spending a fair bit more time looking at the others now
  5. Welcome to the Forum btw Looks like your Monday is getting the week off to a very interesting start. Do keep us informed!
  6. Good luck with it it - get some professional help if you're selling, ebay probably isn't the best location for something as significant as that might be!
  7. The Paris other half http://parismuseescollections.paris.fr/fr/musee-carnavalet/oeuvres/essai-uniface-pour-la-piece-de-5-francs-de-louis-xviii-1815#infos-principales
  8. That one doesn't have the A to the right of the date though. As the Paris museum lists theirs as a Uniface piece, this may bode well for what you have
  9. You may be on to something with your link - my poor translation of French suggests the the link indicates trial slices. I can offer no more than good luck in your search, but do hang around, one of the more knowledgable chaps should be along soon!
  10. Indeed, and to think I had one in my hand last week which was a stunner. I don't know if I left it somewhere safe and it maybe got picked up for one of the kids bus fares, or if I put it in the "really safe place", in which case I might have a eureka moent in a couple of years time!
  11. Thats the best one I've seen in ages Zoo, can I dibs it when you get an upgrade lol?
  12. Dude. #VisionExpress. Discount vouchers available on receipt of vicky silvers.
  13. Agreed, it's one of the better ones and looks nice in the silver proof. I tend to give the normal ones away to peopel I trade mordern coins with - it might inspire further collecting one day
  14. I was talking to a dealer who bags the chrurchies and pays them into his bank. The local post office have yet to confirm if they'll take them for payment at face value (and any others). Royalmail says it will but is branch specific. Worth a thought I guess if you need to offload a few hundred.
  15. I have to agree the sentiment that £100 coins changed my view too, a sharp realisation that things vastly more worth of my cash existed, and they would be far better in investment terms too. I'd shift them on if I could get my cash back I think.
  16. That one is so bad its actually funny
  17. Thats a rather unhealth amount of solid metal £2 coins, are many the Claim of Rights ? I'm keeping an eye out for one but for some reason they're ridiculously expensive.
  18. Actually wasn't as bad as I was expecting, I've shifted so much of my shabby stuff in order to get better ones that I only have this currently. although I'm sure I'm missing a shoe box full of other sets. Half P - 14 Penny - 24 Two Pence - 11 Five Pence - 17 Ten Pence - 49 Twenty Pence - 14 Fifty Pence - 73 One Pound - 25 Two Pound - 48 five pound - 5 20 pound 2 50 pound - 1 BU Sets - 7 Proof sets - 5
  19. I have 2 of them (RE), one is more broken than the other. and a normal obverse. I'm pretty satisfied now that they're correct. It's amazing what you find when you open your eyes lol.
  20. Oddly no, that one is 1916. I did read the other thread and had to double check.
  21. Thanks Pete .,. while I have your attention .. Recessed Ear?
