I give her a credit for persistence. Grammar and spelling....needs working on. Vivid imagination and BS.... top notch.

I will report it.

I see the pound coin which started out as a BIN with a price tag of one million is now at £6.50 with ten hours to go. Time to grab yourself the bargain of the century….

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/ONE-OF-A-KIND-MAJOR-ROYAL-MINT-DIE-SHARD-STRIKE-ERROR-2017-12-SIDED-1-COIN/123744765615

I've sent her a polite message explaining that unique "cud" die errors are worth little above face value as there are few collectors of them. I added that if it was a genuine die error causing a number of coins (e.g. the undated 2008 20p) they would have much more value.

But perhaps she enjoys spending hours looking through thousands of coins for errors - she needs to get out more! :D

In his reply to me mycopau, who sold it to her, honestly describing it as a modern restrike, for £1 last December, said this:

Looks as if she has had a second attempt at artificial ageing- I suspect through one of her eBay associated sellers.

Maybe a bit if shill bidding going on?

Looks like all the bids so far are likely from shill bidders. The four bidders have made a total of 28 bids on her items. Each have 100% activity with her.

But I think she will try and try again if she doesn't manage to sell the item this time.

Good for you Pete. Was she helpful?

I see there are now 20 bids.

Oh well, even if your call doesn't result in the fake gothic crown being pulled then at least some good has come from it…...

Marleybob should also give her scales a good clean too, looks like she’s using them to weigh flour or some other white and powdery commodity.

I was going to post the details ( DELETED ) of what ebay told me today but then thought that if someone was reading this who does the same type of listing it may help them.

Will have to wait and see what happens ☹️

Doesn't this guy have a 'history' on this forum?

He seems to be attracting those who get excited and click 'buy it now' without reading the 'disclaimer' at the bottom.....https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Bare-Head-of-King-George-V-Britannia-Fourth-Design-Penny-1926-Coin/163675196264?hash=item261bcd4b68:g:KIkAAOSwJxtczCU4

Yes, "his" address "Moussaieff Hilton , 22 Park lane" rings a bell.

She has also recently brought an unknown item from this specialist of replica coins:

https://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/dirkin49/m.html?_nkw=&_armrs=1&_ipg=&_from=

I guess she will be offering another "interesting" item soon unfortunately.

Looks like this could be the "interesting" item:

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/V5-1847-MDCCCXLVIl-RARE-SOLID-SILVER-VICTORIA-GOTHIC-CROWN-UNDECIMO/123754724836?hash=item1cd05b3de4:g:2HIAAOSwzL1czC8J

Will she be selling genuine 1933 pennies next I wonder?

Odd isn't it how someone selling tat plucked from change for a few pounds a pop has suddenly upgraded stock to the tune of a brace well preserved gothic crowns. A few nice 18th century coppers? Some decent bull head silver? Three or four high grade George V half crowns? Nah, straight in there with the gothics. I wonder if this second specimen has also received the ageing treatment mentioned in mycopau's ebay message about the one she bought from him.

Didn't any of those bidding on the his repro bother to take a look at her other listings? If they do so since leaving their bids seeing a second has been added will surely set alarm bells ringing even for the most naive of buyers.

I've just offered her a pound for it telling her it's a replica/restrike. We shall see what happens!
