  1. Ahhh my first punk record I ever bought was on a school trip to the tower of london. Popped in to a Downtowns? as it was then and bought "Friggin in the riggin" . Sex Pistols.I think I still have it somewhere
  2. I have fond memories of magaluf 1984 Island theme tune at the time Club Tropicana by Wham . Just so fitting. Probably the best 14 days of my life So I am told. I can't say I remember much of it. But what naughties I do remember makes me grin like a cheshire cat.
  3. I was an 80's rebel teen so all the greatest songs this country ever recorded apply as it was the era of all eras and some badass music. Probably the most diverse of all the decades. Some of the 90's was cool as well Tears for fears Boomtown Rats UB40 The Specials Madness. Whitney Houston Mariah carey The Jam Dire Straits O.M.D. Stranglers Police Duran Duran Luther Vandross Alexander Oneil George Benson Labby Syphilis (I know but I forgot how to spell his last name ) Bananarama Michael oo eh oo ee he Jackson Janet Jackson Blondie Chaz n Dave Godley and cream Kenny Rogers Dolly the Hooters Parton Status Quo (every decade from the 60's onwards) Most hated song Da Da Da by Trio a german band got to number 3 in the charts . How I'll never know
  4. Andy Williams God rest his soul . Always thought of him as a pretend crooner rather than a headliner.?
  5. It's such a sharp strike Victoria is in shock and has somehow contracted alopecia . And half the flag is missing . I find it funny that they can recognise an unknown variety but cannot even identify already known ones.
  6. Thanks Same coin. I saw by reading the link addy . Thing is 1920-21 specifically to find them without any streaks or strike weakness is a difficult task. And to get 1 without both they are as rare as hens teeth. I only stumbled on the site yesterday so I still have to browse all the coins. Nice site
  7. Top left quadrant Do you not think that is a castle? letter C to the right
  8. This is by what I have seen one of the best 1921 Penny struck. I looked at the LCA and the finest graded by them at 85 pales into insignificance against this Coin. I would imagine this was one of the first coins to be struck. Fantastic strike. I have never seen George with so much hair. Almost a teen-wolf look and not a hint of streakiness. reverse complete strike just gorgeous. It will go in the safe place for sure Richard
  9. its up there above this section the last pic is my novelty mouse in the sea pic. same coin though
  10. Lols catwiki just reported my Trust-Pilot review as breaching Policy "Using offensive and defamatory language " I totally disagree I never swore once Truth hurts !! Bunch of crooks. you should read the stories. People still waiting for over a year to be paid .Sellers bidding on their own items to bump the price up. Just not on and shouldn't be allowed to get away with it. I agree I may have used colourful descriptions to put over my point in the clearest terms but I don't see as I broke any rules. They did ,have done, and still do everything I said all I did was call them out and now they are QQ and reporting when they have no valid response to give. They should consider themselves fortunate I have not used their services and it gone wrong they would have something to QQ about then .
  11. Looks like I have the finger penny after all. That is the same as mine in the pics above Although why I was imagining some gigantic finger like your country needs you poking out I'll never know lols
  12. and then i did this and totally threw myself a curveball. I actually think this way up looks more plausible. What do you think?
  13. I thought as the designs were really basic looking they looked more of a representative of something rather than an artistic design Like the medusa looking thing with top part for head the middle section for the body with an arm either side and a long tail like a half human / half sea serpent (siren) . The reverse does look like a front facing Bull sitting on its haunches . Greeks did get in to mythology creatures Perhaps it's a very early type. I do have a vivid imagination I even have a mouse on my 1967 penny . Ok I think I was closer than I gave myself credit for, The Medusa looking effigy is definitely some kind of sea serpent perhaps an irish harpie as if you look to the left the white area I believe is the sea and there is a what looks like a fish or a dolphin head just above the surface. Also the space adjacent to the left of the head has a tick which as you know always depicts a flying bird in the distance, The other effigy I am pretty sure is a dancing bear as there was more detail on the coin when I reversed negged the picture. the rest of the ear and the side profile of the nose and mouth.
  14. I am seriously toying with the idea of getting one. Just which to get really. I normally look at the comparison sites and see what gives the best overall performance for the cost
  15. Couldn't let it go just an upgrade to my ongoing albeit snail like full set of brass threepences in unc. Will need to save a few sheckles eventually swap out the 46 and 49. but this will do for now for £8 I think I bagged a bargain. couple of tiny greens to deal with but a cracking coin far better than the standard dross.
  16. looks like a crude medusa type creature on the right if you rotate it back anti-clockwise Head, body and tail ? and either something representing the devil like a horned minotaur?
  17. Almost erased fodder
  18. That is a corker sir!!!
  19. Yes it's my own fault for not reading the reverses properly. It's even worse with the half pennies. Be ok on mint condition coins in your hand under magnification but for all that description it is wasted on actually identifying anything from online coins. I've lost my mojo . Now I see something of interest and ignore it as it is probably not even a coin and a lump of coal lols
  20. There is treasure there Craigy . I have been watching the series on TV called The British. How we were shaped from ancient druids thru roman britain and so on. When the romans left britain all the rich folk stashed their valuables and hid them in fields. Being a super sleuth I would look for easy rememberable landmarks or certain tree locations that would stand out as a memory jogger . In case they forgot where they buried the stuff. You know they had that "safe place" back then too . If I was there I would cast my mind back and imagine it was me worrying about all those gold coins and jewellry I had and would be looking for somewhere to bury them. Weather this is true or not my memory tells me that the amount of ancient Artifacts found represents about 1% of what is actually under the ground or in places yet to be discovered. Get ya diviner out if all else fails you might find water I wish I had a detector I am on the main road from london to colchester as was back in their day . I would be banging on the farmers doors asking if I could buzz the fields
  21. I though LCGS were strict on grading but this lot hold the crown for now. I am glad it never came back to me graded F-15. Retribution would of been sought These people have no business being in coin grading that is for sure. I guess an MS-70 they would grade XF-45 with a note on the label saying "looked to good to be true" lols https://www.ebay.com/itm/UK-Great-Britain-1862-Half-Penny-England/321968111252
  22. yes I see it now oh well back to the naffing drawing board lmao. ty guys
  23. Hi chaps. Hopefully I called it right and not lumbered myself with another no hoper lols Is this the rarer 1874 H Obverse 7 reverse I that's freemans die pairings. Pretty positive on obverse and reverse seems to fit the description narrow date close numerals small rock to right. Cheers
  24. Blue if you don't mind
