  1. World ending post........ Think i need to get out and go for a walk but not with a board round my neck shouting
  2. I remember a block of about a hundred 10/ notes being sold on ebay a few years ago. They are scarcer in large groups as obviously banks gave out larger denominations. The buyer relisted them not long after and i felt really happy as i got them for a lot less and at a cheap price. I paid straight away but the day after he refunded my money and sent me an apology as why putting them in the envelope he had knocked a cup of tea on them........ Pete.
  3. Wouldnt matter if there were problems or the WORLD ended he wouldnt of sold it at a loss.
  4. Started the bidding at £1 with no reserve.............Wind your neck in. Sold for £218 .......Stretch your condom. Wouldnt even have the patience to watch them
  5. Not got a clue Matt as i wouldnt buy them in the first place and have never sent one. If it was an error though i assume it would be graded as normal if damage from the mint and just listed with all the other errors.
  6. Well after going on about the spot the coin was rejected for Field Damage Will look at the coin when i receive it back as by getting coins rejected i learn more than the ones ok. That is one of the reasons i have sent them to cgs ,not just for the grade but the condition. Fortunately i sent another 1918 that was ok and graded 82 so happy with that one . Pete.
  7. Not the nicest looking penny but one i will always keep. Its the actual coin that was used to illustrate OBV 10 in the Michael freeman book "The victorian bronze penny ".
  8. Dont do that Peter........i have done five week tomorrow without a mouthfull
  9. Think it might be easier to just PHONE them Scott. When i had a problem a while ago they answered straight away ,they were in Ireland and sorted it out .
  10. I didnt expect joyce to win although he won the first round and the second could of gone either way,he could not of done anymore. Rob as far as were is everyone........I am always here
  11. Looking at the cost of flights between 10.00am and 3.00 pm , if i had some that were valuble or was a dealer with a lot think i would just take them.
  12. Thank you for your reply badgerap
  13. Apologies for the photographs I know not many people are interested in them but can only try on here as unable to identify it properly. It appears solid and although its a bad photo that is the colour, its 4 gr and definately obverse B in the Tony barter book. Just to see if anyone has seen one the same. Pete.
  14. I have not received the coin back yet and so only assume the rejection was for corrosion from the spot. Being familiar with... coin in progress... on the site i am sure its been rejected but the reason only given once put in plastic .
  15. The coin is in the UK were it belongs
  16. All the best BHX and HAPPY BIRTHDAY. Have a good day Brian
  17. People investing over £500K are probably quite happy to be called dumb
  18. They are paper assetts Peter they dont post them to have a look at and put in a tray . In answer to your question none are in slabs.
  19. Received an investment catalogue today from stanley gibbons. Needless to say most of it is made up of coins for the first time. But not any copper / bronze pennies in it
  20. Think ebay is ok if your confident in what your buying. Otherwise full of junk, edited pictures and misdescriptions. I used to spend half an hour every morning but get tired of looking at Rang Tang Just because the dealer is sound and fair does not mean the coin is worth buying.
  21. Connor ...What you buy has nothing to do with me . I feel you are spending a few quid and unsure what your buying and that could end up costly. Maybe put the handbrake on and do some reading ,learning and ask more questions before the next purchase. Be lucky Pete.
  22. Some nice pennies in the DNW auction the 1911 Gouby X
