  8. Looks more like dirt than wear on the reverse and the right breast seems to be weaker than other dates so maybe not just wear. EF or there abouts and somewhere about £1700-£2K. Chingford would be my first enquiry and will probably shoot me down .

  14. Seeing nature come alive does not seem the right line to use as they are then shot With regards older coins you are looking for take your time and do some reading to get familiar with grading / prices before you end up buying too much. Some good books and the search facility on here will allow you to read thousnds of old threads if you enter anything you are interested in. Happy hunting (coins)and be lucky Pete.
  15. Hi lain (ian) and welcome to the forum. Pete. Just looked again ....Whats wildfowling
  16. I started wanting just a few nice ones and after a date run . Then it just went beserk
  17. As i have noticed this posted a couple of times i would like to ask you a question Why do you think the coin is worth so much ?. I dont know anything about them but looked at the prices should the coin have been ok.
  18. Only you can decide that Ben would be a shame to sell maybe , although you dont mention if any are worth much ?. Made me think though the ten shilling note was withdrawn in the late sixties and the £1 note in 1983 and you can still find thousands of them . Millions were printed just the same as the £1 coins out there now and the notes in circulation did not obviously last long. Mid runs (with obvious exceptions) in circulated condition are not worth much more than the notes value 30/40 years ago. Be lucky. Pete.
  19. yeah not to bothered about the foot
  20. Maybe thats the worse side Matt.
  21. Spent the last couple of weeks reading the Groom and Davies books and both strongly recommended. The Groom one was more suitable really for what i was looking for " The identification of British 20th century silver coin varieties ". I just need to find the coins now
  22. Hi Andrew and welcome to the forum. Did the guy at the antique shop not mention it was R for RANG
