  1. Sorry but am i missing something here The coin is from a 1937 proof set (or is it ) i could buy a full set for that and if i took my time would find a nice one as plenty available. Even if i put the crown in plastic i would still be happy with a lot less than £475. So based on the pricing £475 do you think that is ok for a normal one ?. To defend the seller is fine and always two sides to every story....... i am the first to defend anyone and going to leave this thread now Perhaps he was to busy.........
  2. The question is why knock over £2K off and if he acknowledges it is now not one why is he still listing it as such on a different platform. In answer to your question yes anyone who trys to sell a coin for £2K plus knowing that its worth £100 is totally out of order.
  3. He sold the coin originally at a price listed at £2,850.00. Now a month later he is happy to sell it for £475.......Still listed as VIP. Surely you would get a second opinion and if he was sure why not put in a LCGS holder rather than sell it for £2K less ,would only cost £30/40 or so. Makes me think he did not have a clue what it was or trying to have someone over either way he is best leaving them alone and should IMO of made a big apology to the buyer. Maybe he did and the biggest lesson learned is leave them well alone if not in a designated slab or you have the knowledge to be sure seeing the coin in hand. Nothing to do with me or any of my business just wouldnt like anyone else to pay way over trusting a dealer.
  4. What this does show looking earlier is how many decimal collectors there is. Looking at compleated listings of the one mentioned they are selling hundreds
  5. Seller should stick to what he knows. Hammered and early milled and leave these so called VIP things alone
  6. Yes they have probably already sold them
  7. I bet they would sooner have £20 than one
  8. Well as each day goes on there is more of them and all will be put away.....or sold (to be put away ) . If they were mine i would have put two on ebay already why you got £50 for the other one. No i wouldnt......i would of put all three on

  19. You need a picture of some Andy i did PM you yesterday morning. The forum being for collectors its what they look like that is most important
  20. Just take one picture of a group ,you dont need to photograph them individually
  21. The Secret Santa sites are the best online source and cover everything you will need.
  22. Andy the best thing you can do is just take a picture of some of the pennies. If you have trouble downloading the picture PM me and will give you my mail address. Without a picture of some description people would only be looking for varieties as i assume they are low grade. Only an option for you
