  1. 31 Brian. Andy jack on ebay.
  2. Just been reading about these in the paper today. A guy from nottingham just been fined £1800. It says its illegal to fly drones within 150 metres of a congested area or open air event. Then goes on to say the pilot must keep direct visual contact with the drone. Suppose its just a case of common sense.
  3. An 1870 i purchased. It was previously sold at LCA jun 2014 Lot 2448 i only mention this as although its slabbed cgs dont have a picture. Its the scarce close date 11 teeth and graded 82 cgs 3212. Pete.
  4. I think you should try on just a plain black card or similar background paul. Dont know if its me but the lines and marks detract my eyes from the coin with the background your using. Sure you will get there mate and definately worth investing the time to get it right. Were is BRG when we need him ?.
  5. Thank you both for your input. If you find any peter let me know and i will sort you out.
  6. An 1886 variety first 8 over 8. c.g.s. 22370
  7. They are really nice and you can tell the 1879 is a proof. I have an 1876 H specimen penny. Its c.g.s. 26028 but not as nice as that.
  8. Thanks MRD i have just ordered one.
  9. Thank you peter.
  10. I will have to assume he did not write any . Or maybe everyone who has an interest in pennies on here is to young to remember.
  11. I think the last one looks best Paul. You can always try 331 though.
  12. I have found paul at c.g.s. (the guy who graded it) really helpful when i have asked him a question a couple of times. The difference will be quickly explained by him and worth a quick phone call to find out.
  13. I was told today that Michael freeman did a series of articles on pennies during the seventies in a coin magazine. These were possibly in coin monthly although the person who told me was not sure. Does anyone know if there was just a couple or a regular feature if any at all. If what i have been told is correct would like to know any dates / months. Thank you. Pete.
  14. They look ok nordle only thing is you will have to keep the cushion for as long as you keep collecting. Nice site and some nice pennies.
  15. Looking at other pictures the ones i like in silver always appear to look better on a black background. The bronze/copper look better on white IMO. Only a thought but maybe worth trying both.
  16. Results are up.
  17. I would just post it to London coins with a realistic reserve if you want to sell it ,the next auction is December. Dont think with a model penny the slab would increase the value in the uk although stand to be corrected. I have just had a quick look on the cgs site and cant find any ,so maybe its not something they grade? Hopefully someone on here may know. Good luck i am sure you will make the right decision. Pete.
  18. Well look at that... I paid 16 euro for 2 of those penny's. Only one with the extra E. Whas that a good deal? How rare would you call this specific coin? Those penny's are not the coins I normally buy but they looked very interesting to me. Best regards, Hi dutchgreener. Yes i think we can say that was a good deal. Well done and welcome to the forum.
  19. Dont go down that road again Ian. I did say..........CGS finest known...............I am well aware there is always better. Pete.
